Floating can be seen as scary for those with anxiety for obvious reasons.
Scared to fall asleep and possibly drown.
In our sensory deprivation tanks, thats not possible! The salts help you stay buoyant and float!
While floating, you are deprived of your senses, which can help you focus on yourself and your mind and sometimes allows you to drift off into a sleep.

My first time I fell asleep and what woke me up was my nostrils/throat burning from the water I just swallowed while trying to turn on my stomach since I’m a stomach sleeper!!! I survived but man was that an intense moment waking up feeling as you gonna drown in complete darkness!!

even if you cant float the high amounts of salt WILL make you float it doesnt matter if you cant float in normal water everybody floats in a sensory deprivation tank

Is there something provided to keep your head “straight”? I read getting the water in your eyes is very painful due to the salt.

They give you head pillows that float that helps a lot

So, with a filtration system, there have to be jets to allow water back into the tank. Are the jets by the area where the person sits in the tank? Meaning, if you fell asleep, when the filtration system came on, along with hearing the sound, wouldn't you also feel the jets on your body too? Now that would wake me up QUICKLY!!! It's a crazy question, but I'm just thinking not only would you hear the motors, you would possibly feel the jets on your arms, or your feet, or wherever they are located in that specific tank.

My first time was 90 dollars for a 1 hour float… not going to lie… I did not like it. They said some people might experience nausea and I had a headache the entire time. I had trouble walking straight when it got out and I felt like puking. It’s just not for me
