You can kill this boss later in the game by entering a portal that teleports back to the starting area, you can find it very early in LIURNA OF THE LAKES

Tip: if you didn't get it at start you can still fight him again. If you go to the four belfries located on the left side of lurnia you can activate one of the portals to get to the boss, to activate the portal you'll need a key (imbued key) there's a free one at the four belfries in a chest if you don't have that one anymore you can still get the other ones at 1. Raya Lucaria Academy or 2. Sellia, Town if Sorcery. "The portal will not go away and you can still fight the boss after dieing"

you can actually revisit this area through one of 4 bell tower’s portal, the locked door will also open

So, extra secret, you can actually re-attempt the tutorial boss through one of the Four Belfries, giving you the exact same gear, so don't sweat it if you fail the first time.

What he doesn't mention is that even though they're good early items, the shield has a strength requirement and the swords need faith/dex/strength points to use it's ability or it's just weak dual wield swords that can't be enchanted

This is my first souls game so I was pretty much lost when it comes to the controls and mechanics, of which i’m still learning, but needless to say this boss clapped me so fast and sent me to the shadow realm. I tried to hit him with my bow, but forgot to lock on so I fired off into the distance and then got one shotted lol

When I went up against the boss on release day, I was like "Wow! First boss already!" Literally three seconds in it does the jump attack at me and I'm like "I wonder if I can-" *Boom. Parried.* Needless to say I felt like a badass for the 35 seconds left in the fight before I died. Just thought parrying the first attack ever thrown at me in this game was cool.

You can actually come back here after going to four belfreys in liurna. Coming back lets you loot special ingredients, a spirit, and a key besides for killing the scion

Fun fact: there's a way to get the sword and shield later on too, you don't have to get them in the beginning or not at all, so don't worry

Hey, just as a heads up for those wanting this weapon, you can actually use a portal near the lakes to come back here.

You also can go back and fight him after you get to the big lake level. It’s where you soak varres cloth without killing someone else. The dead woman right at the beginning, you need her blood. And you have to fight that thing first if you didn’t already beat him in the beginning

You're forgetting it's something not a lot of people talk about duel wielding them gives you the damage of two swords but with the weight of 1 in inventory

If you’re doing a deathless run technically the only way to do it is to “die” to the first boss because it won’t trigger the you died screen, where as if u jump off the edge in the arena or beat the boss and fall of the ledge right after it will trigger a death.

You can revisit this area later, which is REALLY important for Varre's questline (rather, to trick him). He wants you to kill a maiden, and a number of NPC's work for this. But if you remember, your maiden is already dead (the corpse at the very beginning of the game, before this fight). If you get back here you can use that body to complete the quest and get the invasion tool without having to kill any NPC.

You can farm 11k runs per 30 seconds with an occasional 55k once you get to Liurnia of the lakes by using the 4 belfries to return to this boss. The white mask NPC you meet at the first outdoor site of grace after the tutorial will meet you outside the Rose Church just below the Academy and give you a side quest. Talk to him, agree to everything he says, and he gives you a white cloth to stain with maiden blood. Well, once you teleport to the grafted scion from the 4 belfries you can return to the church you started the game in and there is a dead maiden there to stain the cloth with. Return to the rose church, he gives you invasion fingers. Do 3 invasions (you don’t need to win and this is why you often have an invader spawn in and suicide, he’s doing this quest.) After 3 invasions exhaust the dialogue and he gives you an item that teleports you to Mohg’s palace way earlier than you otherwise should. You turn around, hug the left side and ride up through the swamp and up the hill to a bonfire. Set it to night time. Now go walk 3 feet away from the site of grave to the cliff and shoot an arrow at the giant bird. He will run off the cliff giving 11,000+ runes instantly. Rest and repeat. Since it’s night time he will some times have glowing eyes and instead drops 55,000+ runes. This will take you from level 30 to level 70 in minutes. Much later if you need to farm well into your mid hundreds you will be able to AOE all the albinauracs at the same bonfire. So for early and endgame this is the best rune farming spot in all of Elden Ring.

You can just progress through the game, and come back to the tutorial boss at the belfry towers. The tutorial boss is a scripted death, and meant to come back to at a later time throughout the game

After defeating the same monster in stormveil castle it was easy to defeat the tutorial boss when I first discovered I could go back to it using some special keys and portals.

Do a let's play eso. Also complete your ds3 playthrough. Fromsoftware games are S tier in terms of quality

The easiest method is to die to it, then alt + f4 during the cut scene. You actually don't die when killed by the boss. It leave your character at 0 HP and freezez the game while playing the screen. But if you alt f4 and load the game again you will spawn outside the fog gate with 0 HP and be invincible. (Untill fall damage or status effects) go get your easy loot :) Ps not sure if this has been patched as it's been some time since i found out, and it's not that known.

You can also kill it later because you have to go back to that same boss later on and it is not secret gear. You get both items when you defeat him.

once you unlok the 4 bellfreys you can also revisit the tutorial area so you don't have to start a new game every time you died just to have that weapon(and shield) and it only cost's an infused imp key (the blue one)

You get the same stuff if you go beat him later. You get to him from the belfries. Go to the top belfries and get the key, then portal just under the key tower is this boss place. Go in, beat him, get is loot. (I doubt you'll use it but you'll still have it)

Almost did this in Ghost of Tsushima. The first boss battle purposely makes it so rigged as the boss spams unblockable attacks. Brothers barely did 3/4 of his health, i got him so close to dying and was killed by a charge attack 😅

Theres also 4 towers in the water part of the map and one tower “Tower of Anticipation” brings you here to fight that boss and you get those items

U can still go back after you die to em. U gotta talk to raya at their rise and start the quest to head to the 4 belfries, one of them bring you back to the tutorial island to fight the boss again if ur tryna do a boss search n stuff

After many tussles with this boss over the years, her moveset is actually quite easy to read. You punish the stabbing the ground attack quite easily, as well as the two sweeps, one stab and two sweeps attack by rolling into the stab, pressing r1 once then dodging forward to the left. The easiest attack though is the leap.

I play guitar, piano, and produce music. I’m a published artist, and I can genuinely say that learning how to master FromSoftware games is honestly like learning different parts of the same instrument each game.

West Liurnia there is a hill called The Four Belfries and at the very top is a site of grace and I do believe and imbude sword stone key on the next one down that you can use to set in the imp statue to unlock the teleporter, it will take you right outside of this area, defeat the boss and head back to the church but instead go right, a door will be open now with two items that you can give to Nephili, also the last belfrey (if you get another imbude sword stone key) will take you just outside the crumbling ruins where there is two enemies and 2 items I think but no site of grace so collect your stuff and teleport out

And hey for those who didn't know it has a special glitch attack where when buffed, if you do a heavy attack then use a throwing knife, kukri don't work, then hit the heavy attack again it will do the war cry heavy attack😊 whoch i believe can be charged still

unless you upgrade the swords a lot a lot they aren’t going to be the best later in the game but that special attack is really good

Oh, I thought you were talking about the tree sentinel but ok. (And for any of you who don’t know, the tree sentinel is the very very first boss you meet in the game, but you should be unable to beat it, unless you are a pro. It’s an oversized person on an oversized horse. It carries a big ass axe.)

Also if you come back using a portal at the Four Belfries and go to the door that was previously locked, you can get a spirit summon of a huge bird which is in a chest above the starting room where you get the finger

Best way in my opinion is to use the vanguard. His sword thrust ability does more damage and if you time them correctly you will also get a free riposte after breaking it's guard in two hits with the ability

You can immediately go back and fight it by going through one of the four bellfries (liurnia is open from the start)

You can fight the boss again at the farthest to the right portal at the 4 belfries, the reason to go there is to kill the boss, continue through the island and drench the cloth in a lady’s blood for the white mask man quest to be able to get to the mohgwyn dynasty area
