theoretically the monsters of Innistrad make up a greater portion of the world then the humans do. So wouldnt eternal night be considered a win? sure a loss for the "Heroes" but the dominant beings get the win(the monsters i mean)

It's my personal thought that everyone knows of him or knows him from at least the war on Ravnica. And all he did there was fight Nahiri, despite everyone trying to get both of them to help fight against Bolas. I think eventually, they halt the ego battle and do help, but everyone knows how much of a pain he is or was to work with. The last thing they wanted to have to do was talk him into helping them because they know he's difficult at best. And it seems completely hostile at worst.

Don't be so hard on the dude, his surrogate Daughter died recently and so did all of his other family, or at least I think they did, honestly it wasn't very clear wether or not they lived

This is nothing compared to old magic. Go read brothers war. That one book set a bar for high fantasy novels in terms of quality writing. Magic as a story has only degraded since 2006.

The side stories were better than the main. The stories reminded me of folklore, and the older stories like the Gitrog monster.

Liesa is my favorite legend, and Wrenn is no doubt one of the strongest cards in the set. Would love to see a video on these side stories.

Please do cover the side stories! I find them kind of tedious to read (for various reasons), and I really like having summaries available at short notice (since you never know when they do eventually have main story impact again). Plus you summarize so well :)

@@recurvestickerdragon That was the original name before Avacyn's magic went caput thanks to Nahari and the Wolfir reverted into becoming regular but good werewolves. (one might be in the set as Brutal Cathar) To give my theory to why Arlinn and the Silverfurs were able to keep control over their beast form, its explained by Avacyn in the Cursemute that the human and wolf side are warring with each other. So if the werewolf accepted their wolf side instead of rejecting it and fearing the transformation as normal, its possible that this grants them control in wolf form. To support this theory evil werewolves, while not outright stated, seem to have better control ever since the first set. Compare and contrast the out of control Mayor of Avabruck with the composed Kruin Outlaw.

@@KyunaCookies Take a closer look at the art. While his werewolf form does share the same shoulder piece, the rest of the armor does not match his human form, fits his wolf form quite well (suggesting it was made with this form in mind) and is blue instead of white. Furthermore his pelt color is that of a silverfur's and his color is white/red unlike any werewolf that has lost control.

When we inevitably return once again to ravnica in 2 or so years it'll be interesting to see how everyone has reacted to knowledge of Planeswalkers, the total devastation of the city, and just generally being the unaware and involuntary battlefield for a war between these extraplanar beings, the citizens are going to be in total unrest with maybe a few attempts to unite to rebuild but the whole plane has been *shook*

I thought there would be this great epiphany or revelation that he had manipulated her memories and she would come in clutch during the WotS, but no, they just had her murder Isperia in cold blood :/. ​@@squidworth2570 War of the Spark made everything from Time Spiral through Theros 2 worse. Almost everything before War of the spark was made worse by the fact that most of those stories were building towards War of the Spark, and as you noted, the pay off was just disappointing. Then it made Theros worse because they canceled it over how bad War was received, and the cards were not ready for that heavy lifting. My point is, everything in relation to War of the Spark becomes worse. Hence, my recommendation is Jace and Vraska got off the island, and we never heard what happened to either of them ever again. It's just a great mystery like a TV show that was canceled on a cliffhanger..

You sure that wasn't fan fiction? Everyone was surprised to see Sorin show up for War of the Spark. No story prior to that had mentioned anything about him getting out of the wall.

It was really an "en passant" thing. I assume he was too weak since he was pretty much left out of that story afterwards.

You said "in a random story before War of the Spark." The Fall of The House of Betzold is from Midnight Hunt, which is way, way after War of the Spark.

@@MagicArcanum That's fair. Other than Liesa, the angels of Innistrad aren't a subtle bunch, so someone should have noticed the giant ball of light dropping into the room.
