From what I can see, CatNap's death could possibly one of these two. First, he thought Experiment 1006 (The Prototype) would save him, but was killed due to failing to exterminate The Player or second, CatNap knew he would be killed and in the end sacrificed his life for Experiment 1006

I think 1006 was actually trying to help Catnap, but then Catnap offered its body to 1006 so it could become stronger. 1006 after realizing ends up killing Catnap. You can see how 1006 hand was more in a position to lift catnap up.

@@Sunflower96163I think it’s more of a betrayal kill. I think prototype never actually like Theo/Catnap but just saved him to continue on with his plan of the Hour of Joy. Prototype acted nice and godly to Catnap, but when Catnap was least expecting it, Prototype plunged in and killed him.

I think people forget catnap is a person, in a video tape recording they are interacting with catnap, asking him how he’s doing, learning his name is theo and congratulating him for his fourth year in his new body. I feel so bad for him, it was probably only a child.

Jeez and I thought CatNap was big. The Prototype is huge. Just his hand is half the size of CatNap. And I feel like CatNap knows that he wouldn't stand a chance against the Prototype. That's why he let himself die. He knew he couldn't escape even if he wanted to. The Prototype would hunt him down and instantly kill him.

He basically sacrificed himself. He did actually build a shrine with body parts of the toys so possibly catnap knew the prototype's plan of gathering toy parts, he could've grabbed the hand of the prototype , but he only spread his arms wide. So I don't think we need to feel bad , the only people we could blame are the scientists who had surgeries and experiments done to Theo and the other kids .

@@Ilike2postrandomstuffwell, some toys need bones to keep a form and Catnap clearly had some sort of special bones (as stated in the ARG) However, Catnap coming back as a skeleton doesn’t make any sense in the poppy playtime universe (unless it is a skin of project playtime). The main logic between these bigger bodies seem to be that key organs including the brain are inserted in the bigger body to give it life

A lot of people are misunderstanding CatNap's fate here. CatNap was not betrayed. He worshipped the prototype and knew that it adds other bodies onto itself. CatNap likely saw this as a form of salvation. Seriously, why would he need the Prototype to save him? From wht? He wasn't burning anymore. The player was defenseless. He easily could have killed the player there. But he saw the Prototype as his opportunity to finally become one with his god, hence why he willingly allowed himself to become apart of it as the Prototype's prophet, even despite being afraid at first. TL;DR: CatNap willingly let the Prototype claim him.

Personally, I don’t think catnap deserved to die, but he sacrificed himself bc he was very weak and knew he woudnt make it in the end. I think he ripped dogdays legs off bc the prototype ordered him to, and catnap treats him like some sort of god bc he doesn’t wanna die, when he rlly doesn’t wanna kill dogday. I think he is just misunderstood and is killing bc of the prototype controlling him. This a theory, what I think.

This is not my theory but some people think that the prototype and catnap fake catnap's death because the player was inside the red smoke for whole time when catnap attack him in the red gas production zone so there is a chance that catnap's death was a hallucination and he and the prototype attack kissy missy and to make the player confuse use huggy wuggy screaming sound
