I feel like Jax bullying and picking on others may be a coping mechanism. Think about it, you get transported into a whole new world with no escape at all and living through it and playing all its games like you’re a Guinea pig in this world. And losing your mind leads to death(or in this case, abstraction), you would need to find a way to cope through this new world, right?. I think Jax picks on the others to cope with everything(and possibly to entertain himself) and in the scene where he’s on the ground looking sad, we find out about the depression he suffers through just from living in this world. But tbh I don’t think Jax will go through much character development, I think he’s gonna stay the a-hole we all know and sort of love.

My theory is that Pomni somehow got separated from the rest. Jax grieves over this probably because he has something to do with this. Or that he gets angry and shoots someone.

He would act like a jerk to others for the sake of not getting close to them, so if one of the party members abstracts, he won’t care about it and have a mental breakdown over it. He only wants to worry about himself in most cases

In May 3 that’s when the talent show is happening at my school so I would be so happy to come home and watch the amazing Digital circus

My theory: We see pomni’s arm starting to abstract as she gets thrown in the cellar during one of the clips in the trailer. I think Jax may have caused her to start abstracting somehow and so this happened. The rest of the circus members blame it on Jax and it eventually catches up to him. He starts becoming depressed and feels like it’s all his fault. 😢

I do get all these theories where “Oh! Jax looks depressed and will be the focus for episode 2!” I mean it is a very good theory when you look at it that way, but just putting this idea out there, what if Jax isn’t not really..”depressed” in that picture? You never know if gooseworks and glitch could just be playing us. Maybe something else is happening in that short footage of Jax sitting there? And he’s not really depressed as he so seems? Just putting it out there.

My theory of why Jax is *alone (more on that later) is since it looks like it’s either early morning or sunset, maybe he woke up and something happens to make him just think, but it think that the others might have gone to do something and told Jax to stay behind and keep watch of the prisoner. (Or he Woke up and caught the prisoner) *since in the corner we see a gummy gator tied up in candy rope. But hey, that’s just a theory 🤣

Jax’ rudeness has reasons. Like when he broke Gangles mask even more to get the attention off of Pomni. And there are a lot more examples on how he did small ‘rude’ things to help.

When redeeming a character, the best way to go is to have them fall from grace. Jax falling from his high horse that he's set up for himself with as you said either an accidental murder caused by adrenaline or not being rescued would indeed be a good take on his path to redemption!

It was more about reality being shattered when you know too much, but other than that he was mostly upset because the adventure wasn't violent enough. Maybe he has a lot of pent-up rage and none of the adventures have enough action or violence for him to let it all out. I imagine his room would be an absolute mess because of this.
