It's pretty cool that it has it's own cutscene instead of just treating it as if Anakin won.

If you saw the cutscene when Anakin lost, Qui Gon almost fell. But in this one, Jar Jar “clumsily” falls down, and the 2nd player pilot just happens to crash. This further proves that Jar Jar is a Sith Lord and purposely made the 2nd player crash. Jar Jar did this so that Anakin could become a Jedi and the rest of the prequel trilogy could play out in Jar Jar’s favor... and thank you for listening to my TED Talk.

The crash is so comical it is almost insulting. I can imagine it's pissed off someone's sibling during a family game time. XD

They didn't even come up with some kind of wacky force hijinks or anything, they just freaking killed him.

In fact if player two wins but player one is in last place it still makes player 1 win

I was playing this with my friend and we purposefully decided to rewrite history by having him win as Gasgano and me come in dead last as Anakin When that cutscene happened he was so mad and we were both crying laughing🤣

Player 2: wins. Game: i reject your reality and substitute my own!

You'll notice how Gasgano is truly acting the gent here (compared to Anakin). Swerving to avoid hitting someone at the risk of his own life, and forfeiting first place. >_>

Reminds me of the mission "Darth Vader" in the old Lego Star Wars. Where if you as Anakin win, Obi-Wan stumbles for a second and gets back up, before the cutscene plays as normal.

Qui gon obviously used the force to push Jar jar off the platform. Notice how Qui gon didnt look disappointed seeing Anakin losing, he was clearly smiling and motioned his hand to his face while using the force.

Qui Gon: *throws someone into high speed traffic just so he can cheat at gambling on a race* Anakin: from my point of view the Jedi are evil!

Man you gotta admire the dedication and attention to detail the devs put into this game

The fact that this level has 3 different cutscenes for the outcome of the level shows this was the best level in the game (by like a mile).

watching rebels and as watto said "you knew it, somehow you knew the boy would win. " at the same moment the strings that come on as ezra feels a connection to kanan through the force came on. had my own little force moment there LOL!

One time when I got my dad to try it (he’s not great at video games lol), somehow Gasgano (player 2) won. Let me be very clear: it was being played in single player, with my dad playing as Anakin, and Gasgano, the npc, won, and Sebulba came second.

It's just like Obi-Wan vs. Anakin in the original LEGO Star Wars. When Anakin won the duel, Obi-Wan got back up and cuts Anakin to pieces. Here, when Gasgano wins, Jar Jar falls and makes him crash so that Anakin would win.

Low key this is kinda what has annoyed me about the new Lego Star Wars, like the Developers really really don't like Player 2. it's such a step back from Lego Star Wars 3 The Clone wars, where they had a system which allowed Player 1 and 2 to be in different areas on parallel adventures. or even Lego Star Wars 2 the Prequel Saga, where Player 2 was always an equal until the Mustafar mission where they game went "hey so only two characters were here for this mission and one of them is the final boss, so let's let Player 2 be the final boss." the new Lego star wars just makes Player 2 play as R2 and 3PO because even it knows who the favorite sibling is.
