Something I want to add. At 1:07 he says "go and support Fire and Rescue", I want to clarify that we (RFS) are not a support agency, we are firefighters for rural areas while FRNSW are for metro areas. RFS brigades that border a metro area will often attend with FRNSW however many times only the RFS responds especially for jobs/brigades in rural areas. For example, if my brigade gets a callout for an Automatic Fire Alarm then we can expect to see FRNSW there as well as we border the metro. However, if we get called out to a Motor vehicle Accident in the more rural part of the district then we can expect to just have RFS appliances.

But you still cant be guaranteed 24hrs/day 7 days a week response! And you cant guarantee BA crew either. Also you really shouldn't roll out the door without minimum 4 crew on a cat1 or pump. So many RFS Brigades roll with just 2 crew because of availability and it is just not practical.

I'd prefer the word 'capability' to 'resource'. A resource is impersonal; a 'capability' belongs to people and their equipment.

"What happens when the NSW RFS receives a call for help?" In our experience in the 2019/2020 bushfires , nothing happens , you might as well defend your own property .
