HClO(a) + H2O2(l) = H2O(l) + HCl(a) + O2(g) ΔG(20C) = -163.9kJ … so the reaction is spontaneous and runs very fast ΔH(20C) = -153.5kJ … so there is a lot of heat released Not to mention a lot of oxygen released in a big “boil”. Basically you just made a really freaking good oxidizer. If you're reading the other comments here I will post the corrections there too but Chloroform is bleach and acetone. Bleach and rubbing alcohol create chloroform. bleach and vinegar creates potentially lethal chlorine gas. bleach is mixed with ammonia, toxic gases called chloramines are produced. TLDR/PSA: Don't mix bleach with ammonia, acids, other cleaners, or really anything. It's basically a recipe for a bad time.

@@chacotaco3607 The Bleach cleans the pipeline while the peroxide pushes the clog thru with speed from the gases....I've done more then 8 x already ...it works like charm ...😊👍

Even some mix their fish soap with bleach which I CAN SMELL and usually the bottle clearly is labeled DO NOT MIX WITH BLEACH. I had to learn at a young age of bout 10 i was so excited to use the steam carpet cleaner and was mixin EVERY CPEANING product.i had bleach toilet bowl cleaner dish soap and only science knows what else. Thank god my aunt was there to teach me that i was making a gaseous chemical mix that could kill us😂😅😂😢😢😢😮😮.since then i have been very cautious.also another time was brushing my teeth and decided to add some whitening paste to it thinkin WHITE AND BRIGHT. Oh my the chemical reaction.the another time someone was using bleach to deoderize rv toilet waste.i was just inhaling it and went to use a baby wipe and another bad reaction of chemicals JUST FROM THE SMELL OF BLEACH IN THE AIR.beside the stomach aches and distaste in my mouth.anyway much needed knowledge

It’s oxygen gas, water, and salt. The reaction you’re thinking of is with acetone, not hydrogen peroxide.

Chloroform is when you mix rubbing alcohol with bleach but when you mix h2o2 and bleach it makes oxygen but it can be flammable and or explosive.
