Crafter actually that’s false information because the only reason why it’s bubbling so much with one not the other is because the other has less of a top to it so it gives that napkin the ability to make it fizz and fill up with the foam to where the other cupAlready has a big head on it so you’re not gonna see the fish as much but you can still see it produces that fish and it wants to but only can go so high because of the head on it already being bigger

That’s partially correct, as a bar owner I’ll tell you: That’s why certain glasses are made for certain type of beers. And now, about the pouring it’s the part were he is partially correct but still pouring it half way of foam is incorrectly. That’s just an old trick. Foam must be 1/4 TOPS not 1/2. That’s just wrong.

Kind of isn't though. The presentation is not great, but the concept is true. You can double check that online. You are supposed to let the beer foam at least a bit, otherwise you do get more bloated.

Ya this is terrible, you could pour it a bit quicker but the key is getting a smooth stream without glugging in the bottle. Minimal foam is most desirable, what he's saying is BS IMO. Personally I'd rather have it straight from the bottle.

It ain’t quicker, you have to then top it off later to fill the glass, once the heads gone down.. Germany literally drops the beer from up high and you then you have to wait for the bartender to then fill the glass.. I used to order two pints at a time as it’s not like the UK, wham bam thank you mam.. In the UK we are allowed to put shit in it like sulphides, anti foaming agents and the like.. Slower is better..clean beer gives you less chance of a hangover in the morning.. Drinking less also, but that misses the point! Lol 😂

Thirdly, the gasses don’t matter nearly as much as he says, you’re still in taking the gasses either way and there’s something called burping to get rid of it

This is exactly how I drink my beers at home. I have 3 steins in the freezer. I quickly pour each beer just like the video and allow the head to form. Removing all that extra carbonation makes it so much easier and satisfying to drink.

And then I can respond " It's right there in the bottle in front of you. You can pour the remainder when the head dissipates." They don't throw the beer out if it doesn't fit in the glass. By the way if you drink decent beer and not that 4.8% ABV cheap ass shit then you get more than enough alcohol in it to make up for that tiny bit left in the bottle.

The first way. I'm British. Big heads are for Continental European dandies and Americans like you. I want beer up to the pint line. If you like beer in glasses, order from the tap. If it's in a bottle, drink from the bottle. You don't want that gas in your gut, drink bear like a grown man and don't chug it like a college kid. Leave it to stand after the first sip. No beer should ever have that much head, he couldn't even fit it all. He owns and renovates bars. He's not a bartender. Two completely different jobs. He's great at what he does, that just so happens to not being pouting drinks. The first way he did it was incorrect too tho so he's half right I guess?

I love the show and John Taffer. His rescue of a bar, and recreational park from his home country was a tear jerker. Sorry to say it though, this is junk science. Just look at both beers at the very end. They're the same. Even if what he was saying was true, the "gas filled beer" will only make you burp louder and harder. Not cause any additional discomfort. If you like a lot of foam, good on ya. If you think you are getting more beer when you pour slow, he just proved you won't. Stay thirsty my friends
