Yes, the taffy especially seems like it might do well, provided it doesn't burn. Also, on a completely different note, can you make cotton (candy?) from just plain salt?

Weirdly "Astronaut Ice Cream" was never freeze dried and ice cream was also never used on missions and on the ISS it doesn't need to be freeze dried since they can take it as a liquid opposed to a powder/styrofoam texture.

The ice cubes would evaporate. They are 100% water and freeze drying removes water/moisture.

They've done it a couple times already. First with other foods, then as much as they could fit to measure how much water was removed. (A lot!)

Freeze dry some of the things you’ve already done and then after crushing them up use them in the cotton candy machine. I’d be interested to see what happens if you freeze dry Honey too.
