That's not that bad. I checked my file that I did as a 8 years old (oof I'm young) and It didn't go anymore even thought I didn't do anything. The matter? My First shiny in my life was there, a shiny roserade. T-T R.I.P. Roserade

@@ely3607 I feel the pain, my first pokemon game was pokemon diamond in which I encountered a shiny kricketune, my first EVER shiny encounter. I had got it down to one HP using my weakest, lowest leveled pokemon, and just as I felt the euphoria of getting my first ever shiny it used struggle and kamikazed. It wasn't until a month after ORAS came out that I caught my first shiny zigzagoon on my Alpha Sapphire game... A little better but the devastation of loosing my that one shiny kricketune still haunts me to this day. Anyone else have a shiny story to tell? Edit: Holy Arceus I'm getting a lot of replies! I feel the pain (especially when lacking pokeballs or when encountering any pokemon that know EXPLODE in the wild [Hence why I NEVER shiny hunt them]) and it is nice seeing others share their failed shiny encounter moments. It is those failures that make encountering and successfully capturing the next shiny all that more worth it. Keep up the hunt fellow trainers, you know the motto "Gotta Catch 'Em All!"

@@bezhfezh yes you can, as long as the lake verity map has the outdoor music (i.e. you're not in the cave). I didn't mention it since it is very rare to find in the void.

One time I was going for darkrai and I got stuck right at the end. The very last save and reset. I did and opened the menu did everything correctly, however the screen stayed black and there was an invisible wall on all four side of me. Do you know how I would get out of this situation? It’s been about 3 years since so I just deleted my profile and started over but I’m just curious if there’s a way to get out of that situation.

Try doing it in the top right corner of spear pillar in platinum... You will get arceus if you keep tweaking after that and fly somewhere you will spawn on the hall of origin staircase but you can't walk off so you have to use teleport (you can't fly off the hall of origin if you use this method)

Well, the first void glitch with the door, i imagine someone never played Pokemon before, was in that room, wanted to head back, pressed A on the door in hopes it would open, and then he got the "Do you want to use Surf?" prompt. As for the tweaking, datamining. Lots of datamining. As for the route, lots and lots of maths and knowledge about the game.

It's kind of interesting actually! Most of these glitches have to do with arbitrary code execution. I'm not entirely sure about THIS glitch, but I know that's how the 8F glitch in Pokemon Red operates. You should look that one up too -- a LOT more than a wrongwarp is possible! Someone once coded the entirety of PONG within Red using it!

@@josk8319 It's one of those games that I wouldn't want to delete due to how many hours I had put into it. I think I ended up transferring all of my brother's best pokemon to his White game and then resetting his HeartGold so I would be able to get the other Hoenn and Kanto starter pokemon to finally complete the Johto Pokedex. I still haven't got around to finishing that. I think it's because it was so far in the game and having to do it twice due to accidentally transferring my only Bulbasaur would be kind of tedious. I feel like I'll start the game up and be like, "What was I doing here?" I guess it's another task on the list of tasks I'll get to complete eventually...when I get the time.

Just as a heads up: you don't have to do any of this tweaking to get Darkrai, you can get the events yourself. Using the DNS glitch, you're able to download the Mystery Gifts and catch them legitimately. I caught Shaymin using the tweaking glitch but Darkrai and Arceus through changing DNS
