What I'm hoping for is a system where AuV3 plugins that have desktop counterparts can easily be moved between iPad and Mac. This would most likely need work from the plugin devs and Apple. It's probably my main pain point at the moment. It is however great to have some AuV3's that work on desktop (M1 etc only though). Kudos to IceGear for making many of their amazing AuV3 synths and effects available in this way. Works seamlessly. Regardless I'm really enjoying the workflow in Logic for iPad and having some of the ability to easily work on a single project across portable and desktop devices.

Hey Patrick ! I believe that overtime, as LPiP gets more traction, the major players will port their software to AUv3. Offer and demand 101. As for the GB to LPiP, think that it's still a version 1 of a new software. It might become possible with future updates with a bunch of bugs corrections. There are still no update on the horizon so... maybe they're waiting for iOS 17 ? In any case, we'll see what this new kid on the block grows into.

No way, the more I think about it the more I would regret using Logic Pro on both iPad and Mac. Although I am pretty sure some people will manage to get all work done using just an iPad you may have now better tools if using Logic Pro, which by the way is subscription based, and if you're serious with your work and you want it to last, you would probably try to avoid that kind of Service Agreements. This is madness, although it might be better, but License Agreements are so ABUSIVE that we must think more than twice about this step. I'll keep on Mac only, using just the iPad as a way to record improvisations, that I could record as well with just an iPhone without depending on iPads, although using that horrible dongles/adapters anyway, and I don't need Logic Pro for it. Plus services like Apple Music are still missing so many features "after so many years" compared to Spotify, and they are not compatible with the way you would think an Apple only ecosystem would do, while Spotify can do this even on very heterogeneous systems. I can't even use my iPad as Sidecar/Extended Desktop if I don't turn on WiFi, which is lame because then it screws each and every Bluetooth connection, even when Bluetooth is on the 2.4 GHz band and WiFi router is only on 5.8 GHz band, bluetooth keyboard, mouse, trackpad, all fail, and Sidecar connection breaks in a matter of seconds more often than minutes. The only way I could use it is with everything wired, and that's and awful scenario compared to other options. So no way for me. I just made up my mind.

Hello Patrick, I’m using Logic Pro for iPad with so many 3rd party AUV3 plugins like fabfilter and swam instruments. I recently purchased Logic Pro for Mac! What will happen to those AUV3 plugins when transferred to mac?

This video came up in a search about movie files. You don’t address it but I was wondering if they don’t work? I loaded a project with a movie on my Mac and then saved it into iCloud as a package and checked all of the boxes as well. When I brought it up on my iPad everything was there except the movie.
