What happened is Treyarch were forced to make ANOTHER zombies mode on a tight schedule with a shoestring budget for a game that isn't theirs. They made the bare bones of a really fun mode but had to move on to their own game before they had the time to give the mode proper updates. That's what I think happened

I think this mode of zombies has a really great foundation. If they had added more and let the player keep more items to bring along to the next mission, then it probably would have been received better by players. I think they really missed out on adding a feature to let you create your own fire team with the operators you've purchased/unlocked. You are playing as a team lead, and the AI will be your team if playing solo. That would have been awesome.

The gameplay loop got really old for me quick so Im playing BO4 again

funny you don't mention that PvP is coming for MWZ. The game loop gets boring as soon as you finish the story missions and explore all the easter eggs and whatnot, and new seasons just give you perk/gear progression to hop on the higher difficulty content as soon as you spawn (which is fine) and it could have been done way better (like the halloween content we got for DMZ last year, that was a blast). PvP will freshen things up a bit (depending on how it's balanced with PaP and other stuff), but we're essentially already waiting for the next CoD and that's a problem with MWIII as a whole, not just MWZ. Activision Blizzard is just milking their consumers and we just keep giving it money

Stopped playing it, it’s brain numbingly boring, cooldowns are way too long and I’m sick of my containment level dropping every time I go to the dark aether
