Looks like a Cinnamon Queen pullet. I had some years ago, best layers I’ve ever had, the boss hen would get on our partially enclosed back porch (we lived on an acre in the city but they slept in the trees at night) and lay an egg every single day. Even in the DEAD OF WINTER when it was freezing cold! They were sweet and I just loved them. One day I went out and no egg was there…and neither was she. I realized the great horned owl that was around prob got her bc she would stay more on the outer limbs to “protect” the other girls. I had no rooster then so she took care of them. I was so sad, but they hated being in the coop once they got to free range all day, and they loved roosting in the tree so I let them. I still miss that hen.

I have some poulets that look like this that are called cinnamon queen. High productive hybrid breed as I was told.

I watched your video of hatching trader Joe! So glad you did this follow up video! My guess is Joe look like a Isa but the comb looks small so pullet is my guess.

I’d suspect the culprits who broke in and ate your chicks were probably Raccoons. I’ve lost a lot of chickens to them. Several Quail also. I caught them red handed! Not pretty! Opossums would be suspect as well. I witnessed a Giant Opossum devouring a previous lil’ Bunny one night that had taken up residence in our yard. It had become almost tame. It wouldn’t even budge when we walked right by it. The Opossum ate the entire thing! Legs, feet, ears, everything! You can contact the company who supplies those eggs to Trader Joe’s and ask them which breed they are.

We have a rooster that was in the awkward teen stage and didn’t want to outgrow his chick chirp to a rooster cry so for like a month with had a rooster with a deeeeeeeeep chick chirp is was so funny listening to him chick chirp with his deep adult voice already😂

Defo some sort of hybrid. I doubt even the farmers know 100% of whats in there.

I'm thinking she's a Trader Jane. No idea of the breed, but he or she is really pretty.

I was also thinking Rhode Island red because of the whiteness at the end of their feathers because our baby chick Rhode Island Red has white at the end of her I’m guessing feathers and the 13 of them it was 15😢 are 4 Rhode Island reds, 2 Giant Jerseys, 1 it was 2 Leghorns, and 5, 6, or 7 other breeds I don’t remember but I’m pretty sure they were born on 2\20\2023 it’s now 3\19\2023 and their all so cute!😊

I never tried with chickens but with turkeys I learned online one way of sexing is looking at the solid droppings. The female lays a straight line and the male will lay a J. You can check the vent too. I never liked doing it but it sure works. I only ever got the correct sexed birds from hatcheries and their free exotic chick has always turned out to be a rooster, so I bet vent sexing has greater accuracy than some would have you believe.
