Games started making more money & now they become investments for hedge funds rather than games for people to enjoy. I always look forward to fut champs as div rivals is so dead and boring, even getting the 7/8 wins for the rewards is becoming a waste of time as the rewards are shocking, fut champs gameplay Is getting worst to the point I may stop fut all together, every match in champs literally feels like you've either got the luck or it's against you, if your lucky you win, every game I see non stop BS, players can't pass, you block the passing lane Nd it goes through still, players flinching though with skill moves, inconsistent gameplay, cba with it

After the season reset I've made the decision to stay in Div 2. Every time I'm close to Div 1, own goal and back out. I just CBA to sweat and I like doing objectives in rivals rather than squad battles.

Can anyone tell me why after the new patch the pressing and 2nd man press is so much more better than it was before the patch? Before the patch ypu could get around it sometimes, but now its near impossible as the A.I tackles you and marks all your players. This wasn't in the patch notes so how has it changed so much?

Speaking of game modes, I would love to see an online game mode where you are randomly assigned a real life club for a match and your opponent gets a random real life club too. No promo cards. Just the regular golds and in-forms. That would be fun.

As a new player to FIFA (sort of. Haven't played a FIFA game since 2000) this game is a fucking nightmare. You actually get a more chilled, controllable and varied experience playing against the AI, which is mad.

I don’t know if anybody has noticed this after the patch but for some odd reason I keep conceding goals which bounce of my keeper. My opponent kept shooting directly at my keeper who gets the ball bounced off their chest or when they dive and goes exactly straight back to the opponents striker. The same goes for the post, whenever they hit the post the ball bounces straight and perfectly back too my opponents striker. I’m not sure if it’s bad luck or EA’s done something to rebounds but it’s been awful. However I am enjoying being able to use players outside legnthy since Hero WC Ljunberg is absolutely amazing.

I remember the times when everybody was saying that pros and try-hards should play against each other and not terrorize the average players. For me, as an average player, this system is better. I don't wanna be terrorized by all kinds of try-hards and sweats. If you want to change this system, then bring back rankings and individual rankings. Could you let me know who I am playing against? I want to see his stats and what kind of skills he has, what's his record etc, and not just get absolutely destroyed without knowing what's going on. I have the right to see who beat me up 7,8 - 0, I want to know if he was better than me, or if my tactics end formations are bad, so I know if I have to change something. All has to be transparent. If you wanna change it, then change it, but do it right.

EA needs to beef up the whole concept on in-forms. A plus one on an average card doesnt do anything. We've gone through 9 weeks now ot TOTW but how many of them actually matter? 90% of them are just discards or used in sbcs. I think in-forms should be more significant, like something close to a promo card level kind of card.

Tbh... gameplay became so bad, i was a pretty solid player before the patch in Div 4, only cause havent played much Rivals, and now i cannot win in Div 5!!! Its only like speed, speed, speed... there isnt an alternative playstyle anymore, its Just making through balls to your wingers and strikers

I quit playing this game since last week because i kept smashing my things because of this awfull gameplay. 9 out of the 10 games i play, my players are stuck in mud. my internet connection is fine, i only have this problem with Fifa and i'm done getting fed up while trying to enjoy myself.

Uninstalled FIFA today, the way they killed passing took me out completely.

They always do this apart from a very few fifas. Game comes out it’s playable and boom gets ruined after first or second patch for rest of year.

They won’t change anything because it’s never about having fun to them or enjoying a game. They want you to always wanting a Meta team to serve the pay to play policy. You have said it, they don’t care, it’s the same game every year, even the players are the same, the errors in the mobile app are still the same, the errors at the game at the beginning every year are still the same!

FUT now literally felt like if I was playing Yugioh. I spent more time on the menus and trying to get cards because I’ll go into 2-3 games and the gameplay is horrendous specially after the new patch. It’s crazy a football game were actually playing football is stale. It’s November and I already quit the game, i was in division 1 and already expected the sweatfest but to go to in WC swaps and literally felt like it was rivals 2.0. Was the point of red picks anymore because they are straight fodder now unless you pack a red mbappe or red neymar. They made cards with toty stats that red picks and TOTW are useless and we’re only in November!

i play alot with my dutch squad these days for fun, and i so agree the moment i see mbappe neymar messi i know whats going to happen its gonna be a meta skill fest so i just leave if he scores one because i know its gonna be boring and not worth my time.. i still reach div 4 or 3 but i cant be bothered anymore to try to get higher.

The constant press thing is so OP in new gen, but I played old gen this week, and it is so easy to pass around in it. But old gen has other problems like you being unable to pass sometimes and pace abusing

The best FIFA games imo were 15 and 16. Very little content (no SBC, no WL, online seasons> div rivals) but the game play was fantastic! There was a skill gap and no Park the Bus or constant pressure without stamina depletion bs tactics. Yes there was pace abusing and ridiculous long shots but I'd take that over 8 guys behind the ball auto defending. Sometimes "more is less" and since 17 the game has declined..

Idk man, SBMM is essential to protect the casual players. I'm in elite division and when I play fut champs, I face players that are obviously way worse than me and I feel so bad, because they just have no chance. I'd rather face someone as good as me than ruin the game for someone that isn't as good as me. SBMM sucks for good players, but it would suck for the casual players to play the good players every other game when they can hardly even get rank VI in fut champs.

Why am I so terrible after the update?! I went from winning 16 games to not being able to qualify. Cant score, always lose but have higher expected goals. Can't break down any defenses all of a sudden. I think I am done for good.

the game was not perfect and trivelas were broken, yes, but it was a way to score nice goals against people who played anti football. Now they nerfed them to the ground, yet they still park the bus, and u can not do anything, cause of course the defense is not nerfed, parking the bus in not nerfed. PISS OFF EA SPORTS !

I have been actively thinking about what a cool gamemode could look like, here is my idea: 3 game tournament mode 1 win you get one of the 84 players from the swaps 2 wins you get an 85+ 3 wins 86+ No duplicates, so once you have gotten a card you cannot get again so you can play till you unlocked all cards - Then you can have rewards for said cards earned in those modes, for example. For the attackers you need to score 3 goals using that player and then you get 1000 coins or a gold pack For midfielders 3 assists - same rewards Defenders 3 clean sheets - same rewards With this setup there would be a way to get these players in a fun manner, and then an incentive to actually use the lower rated ones. I know this would never happen but just a thought.

Everything is Strange with this game. First everything mudded. Then they give advantage or disadvantage to accounts. If you ahead passes go through body, u press short fast pass the computer pass wrong and hard pass etc. There is 10 stuffs like this nobody talk about this. Feels like they added alot of strange animation to control the game.

Other than this where the game is not designed for enjoyment, it is for profit (which is ok in a general sense obviously) but the people who play this game no longer do it to create good chances and enjoy scoring good goals, they play it to annoy and stress their opponent which is why they don't mind playing the same boring tactics every game and drop back counter. As long as they get the win and annoy the opponent that's what they want most.

I got to Div 3 then I would get smack and win 2 out of 10 games, I couldn't get relegated which is stupid. I only play champs n squad battles now

The only thing that i see champs be good for is it helping free to play players get packs to open and build up coin balance. Sure there is other methods but at least for that its good. I want the main FUT game mode to be, instead of 8 wins, you have to score 20 goals. Then you're not wasting time by staying in a 0-1 game, and people will look for aggressive formation/tactics on youtube instead of how to gather the entire team in your own box

Its because of equal chances fifa becomes more and more competitive. The teams you face nowadays are unreal and its only November right. The concept RTG is not even a thing anymore because when you face an opponent with let's say a 100k ish team they gonna bully you even in a less competitive game mode.

EA simply needs to remove constant pressure entirely. Or maybe limit it to 5 seconds and can only be activated once every 10 mins. Also, second man help defending just has to be removed. It's just dumb that there is an option to control 2 guys on defense, but not have that same option for offense. AI defending is good enough as it is. We dont need constant pressure and 2nd man help defending making it too OP.

@11:30 - gameplay was bad, but at least we had some decent good attacking AI with fifa 17. It was fun to play. But the years after it goes downhill

I used to catch your streams at work. I belong to class that do not have time to grind duel to life. I only play career mode in fifa and that even sucks. FUT is just too much work for me to get in.

It feels so random, everyhing. Most goals i concede (or score) are due to luck or abuse of pressure tactics. the content is not good. The pack weight is terrible. and after last patch it feels even worse. Thanks for all the content Inception, it helped. But for now i'm going to play something else.

Facts bro I been playing this game since 07 I was elite division last year but now with a kid and wife I can’t devote as much time to the game I played the first season got to Div 2 and 14 wins in champs but I have no motivation to play the game since cod came out just because the promos and game modes are crap the World Cup mode is a big L and weekend league and rivals is just sweat feasts

Regarding Skill Based Matchmaking, my thoughts. I think FUT Champs Finals should be the only current game mode that is skill based MM. Rivals, Drafts, Friendlies, FUT Champs Playoffs should just be completely random open matchmaking. I think this simple adjustment would do wonders for this game. Champs Finals should be the only venue for the sweatfest. But if someone wants to pick up the game on a random Wednesday or Thursday, he shouldnt have to be punished with a sweatfest in Rivals or Playoffs. Just give the sweatfest to those who want to brave the weekend league.

Go back to totw and tots as only special cards. That many promos now I don't know what's what anymore.

First year really playing ultimate team. Was Division 4 always so sweaty? Every game is either park the bus, horrible passes, and tackling is horrendous.

I felt like there needed to be a balance. The lengthy meta was fun because it allowed you to use these low dribbling taller players effectively, but at the same time it was completely ridiculous that my Vini, Correa, or Dembele would get run down by a CB from 30 yards back after sending them a through ball. I think that maybe they increased the pace a little too much for explosive and controlled players, but I like the change overall.

the deletion of the old Divisions mode and the introduction of undtradeable players was the beginning of the end. that was the last time the game had a reasonable progression model. it's been fake ever since. Draft has always been a scam, and Inception's right, the fact that didn't change it with the new chem system is more evidence that there are things on the game that they literally don't touch every season and just slap the new year on the box.

Futchamps is a joke I played consistently and I hit rank 5/4 pretty average but last futchamps I had a losing streak like I was 3-9 I gave up all my games in hand because I couldn't be asked to play and guess what, I got govou icon hero in my rewards, 700k for winning 3 out of the 20 games, I've never gotten good rewards from futchamps but the only time I give my wins away I get a 700k player?

Every year I make around 1-2 mil and get good pack luck but this game turned dog shit in the space of a week. I went from consistency in my wins and losses in the same Division with non ratty tactics just my own to winning 1/10 and hating it. It's not even about inconsistent gameplay anymore, the game is fucking awful and I am so disappointed for wasting my time on it. Every player I play in div 3 does the exact same abuse of cutbacks and pace and pure aids but I can't even beat a single defender unless I get some bullshit.
