That is me right now and I confronted him about it. At first he responded he is too busy with his new schedule at work which he told me in advance but I said, you were busy from the beginning even though he would give me a quick call for a few minutes and then text me every day. Then one night he gave me a quick call and he said, later I will text you, and he didn't. He fell asleep watching movies. I texted him the next day at work, and he texted me back. I told him you are wasting my time. How come you are so busy yet you are in a dating app which we first talked there and got out of there. Gee, I'm so disappointed. It's been 5 days no call or text.

My attempt to get us talking to find good communication structure did not work, tried for more than a month to get him on phone or create time we discuss. He would however send a good morning message, but totally snob my request….Couple of days/weeks passed n the how are you messages felt superficial…no matter my response… every abt 24 hours I would get the same ‘ how r u message. He was gaslighting me when I try to raise my concern n I started believing him. Though its disappointing I feel it never would have worked in the long run. Totally agree. If a man tells you that they are busy, you need to communicate with him no longer. Clearly you are not his priority and never will be. And not to mention if the guy continues to keep telling you that his busy but has time to log onto facebook throughout the day, he's not interested in you. He's stringing you along to boost his ego. Us women, we need to be more aggressive towards men who don't tend to beat around the bush and to cut them off and move on. We tend to think, 'oh, let me give him some time to work out his issues and then perhaps we can get together"...that's bullocks. If he's not making time for you, he's not interested. This kind of a thing happened to me last yr n im still not able to get over that fellow. We were good frnds, used to talk a lot then n i thought that there is a chemistry between us bt sadly for me that wasnt the case i dnt know what was on his mind. He just stopped talking to me suddenly after 2-3 meets. We are back to being acquaintances Things are crystal clear now to me but it really makes me sad thinking what did i possibly do wrong.

In those few times that u guys met, did u guys have sex? I ask because sometimes when we have sex within the first few meets, the guys lose interest and move on coz they never wanted anything more than just sex. I have learned that if u want a meaningful and lasting relationship u need not have sex for 90 days. If the guy can't hold out for that long than clearly he was only into u for sex and if he was truly interested in U then he would respect u and wait. Similar circumstance happened with me. I met a guy online, he seemed nice and we got along great...he was constantly 'busy' and never made the time to meet me but dragged it out for a year. After a year I cut him off coz clearly he didn't want to meet...turns out he was dating someone and hence why he didn't want to meet. No more online dating for me that's for sure. And another thing, in the past I have always given up sex within the first few dates and my relationships have never lasted...now I'm taking sex off the table and gonna make the guy 'chase' me. Sometimes u just have to play hard to get if u want the right guy and weed off all the bad ones. Trust me with time u will forget about this guy till then take each day as it comes.

You also lose attraction when the person is rarely available, not just always available. If anyone wants a relationship with someone there should be a balance. Lack of availability means lack of attraction since they could be spending their time on someone else. Not too available or too unavailable. When they aren’t available they miss out on getting to know their partner. This causes stress and uncertainty to the other partner because it could mean they’re no longer interested. The best way is to not make a relationship your purpose of living and make time more for you and at least have effort for the relationship. If you’re to busy and can’t take at least 30 minutes out of 24hrs for someone than your wasting the other persons time and not ready for that commitment.

I gotta say Athena is absolutely right. You can't always be available and there for them, all the time when they are not giving you that same amount of attention or time that you deserve back to you. Only when they feel up to it or to their convenience, nope. These are non-committal type guys that like living alone and their space and or their guy friends to hang out with after work for some beers. I went through this personally and you really get bored sick and tired of it all when you are the last priority. They may have came out of a bad relationship or divorce with kids and now are mentally damaged goods. And they can't give to you what you really deserve because they are emotionally unavailable or incapable of demonstrating feelings they may show you some feelings up to a point. Been there done it. There's too many factors causing this type of behavior and we don't have time to figure it out and be psychologists and perhaps we can find someone else who truly will appreciate a dedicated good woman. I understand exactly what you are saying but at the same time I think that for those ppl who are busy with their day-to-day life or more focused on getting their career moving forward and literally have no time for dating, need to stop going out there and actively looking for someone to date. That's giving mixed signals to ppl. If you have no time for dating, you shouldn't be on dating websites trying to find someone to date.

Trust me when I say this, if they haven't met up with you in 6 months, they never will. I went through the same thing. I met someone off an internet dating website and it dragged on for about a year. Always tried to make plans but 'he was too busy'. I should have ended it way way sooner but I learned my lesson. My advice, do not entertain their text messages anymore. Delete their number, and even if they do text, don't reply back. You deserve better than this. We all do. And don't ever do the internet website dating thing either. No one is serious in meeting anyone off that thing anymore unless it's only about sex.
