Korea realizes that their youth IS the future of their country. The human brain requires healthy balanced meals to operate at full capacity. When the American public school system, refuses to feed a student lunch if they don’t have their lunch money for that day. All the while, your taxes pay for the children next to them in cafeteria line who qualify for FREE lunch. To top that off, the food they serve is one step up from jailhouse food up the street.

Everyone talking about America,Korea's school lunch when my country's schools don’t even serve lunch. Students have to bring food from home. Who can't bring the food buys from the school canteen but the food there is simple burger and sandwiches which aren’t even delicious

@@NuisratJannat-lp2tn where do you live? Perspective is everything isn’t it? I grew up dirt poor and now I’m considered upper middle class. Food insecurity is an issue some will not ever understand. I get so upset with the food waste in my clinic, to the point where at the end of the week when we clean the refrigerator ,I’ll take the food home. My employees are always so confused by this.

School lunch isn't all that determines how much a country values its youth. If you're not aware, I suggest you look up the schooling system, cram schools and entrance exams in Korea, and what a typical day in the life looks like.

Slovenia goes with beef stew and compot. Take that, suckers! As for my life in serbia... we had 20 minutes after the first two periods to rest or eat (normally eat). I'd go down to the local pizza shop to get a slice of "capriciozza" (read: cheese & ham pizza) and french fries with hot sauce.

At my California high school, there was no cafeteria. After-school fridge raids were the go-to for those hungry kids lucky enough to have food in the fridge. Looking back on it, the corrupt bastards in the school district thought, "Fuck them kids" and probably trousered the state money.

So, seeing a lobster like this isnt that surprising for me. That's why I was confused why people in the comments kept saying it's private school, because even our public schools have meals like this😅

For context I live in Oregon and we eat seafood more in the west towards the pacific coast, but the more east you go the more cattle farms you run into, and the diet changes out from seafood to beef and other type of animals from a farm. The point in where this change happens is also roughly about on South Korea into the state (Oregon is about twice SK’s size), so maybe you guys just have the perfect ratio of distance between your shores and inner most lands.

I'm so jealous about this lunch, quality aside, I'm even jealous more jealous that it's fresh. In my school, the lunches seem to come from a factory in who knows where, which get shipped here, and honestly look and taste like cold but heated microwave meals, and that is coming from the person who has eaten AMAZING microwave meals.

@@rydellgarcia this is a high school. Korean public schools pay for meals using state funds. Public high schools have all been free for the past 4 years. Also, all Korean high schools teach English. Most high schoolers in Seoul speak passable English by the time they take their final exams

⁠@@Mikeygamer1my friend, she was very poor so sometimes her father brought a broken machine from road for recycle. of course, her school was public but she can ate lobster for free and there are new student who eat lobster for first time too it is not just school meal it can make experience

I grew up in Germany, this is absolutely wild to me. The lunches I had in school were overpriced and I can’t even remember a single meal that I actually enjoyed. When we were served meat it was absolutely always dry, and they’re out here eating cheesy lobster tail?!

Korea voted to give free lunch like this with nutritist and freshly delivered daily ingredients for students in early 2000s before just near Seoul Schools after 2000 all Korean upto high school
