I’m sorry Anye but you’re 100% wrong here. Lydia is very much preoccupied by designer, luxury, material possessions. She embodies the definition of this adjective. That said, i don’t think the negative connotation associated with this adjective is fair. Liking material and beautiful things is not a bad thing and does not make one a bad person, though people make the (often incorrect) assumption that one must be associated with the other. You can like expensive, beautiful things and still be a good person and give unto others. But yes, Lydia is materialistic. That is ok - i am too :)

It would be cool if you and Ali could go into more details on how and what you did to grow your business. For example how to work with different brands, how to get paid what you’re worth, who is all a part of your team and their roles. Basically how can someone else duplicate your success. Maybe have a series about different aspects of your business.

Yes, Lydia, bravo!!! I liked the end of this vlog when you say that everything you have you did it yourself and I totally agree. After a lifetime of work, I buy lovely expensive stuff for myself and I still feel the need to justify it to some people. I know it is stupid and you just reminded me of that. So, thank you so much. We deserve the nice things we buy, we worked for them and it is OK to buy them. I am 58 and I admire young empowered women like you! Go, Lydia!

What's so frustrating is that people think you need to answer to them. Your channel is about high end clothing, makeup, homewares. You rose to your level because of your hard work, your smarts, your strategy. We (all of us) logged in to watch you because we enjoy what you produced. This kind of vlog is why i started following you and subscribed to your channel. I love to see what your up too, and love to watch you shop and see what the latest fashions are. Lydia, you are such an inspiring woman! I sometimes catch myself thinking negatively about people on KZfaq and undermining their hard work and effort that they put in their channels and building their careers. In this video you instantly reminded me why I always looked up to you. Not only because of your GORGEOUS looks and natural sense of style, but most importantly because of your work ethic and honesty. Sometimes we get caught up in only thinking negative about other people having stuff, when we can empower ourselves by being motivated and empowered by YOUR empowerment and ability to do the things you do. I'm quite of a new follower so I don't know what your videos were like years ago, but I can tell you that I enjoy seeing what you buy and there's nothing wrong with that, you earned it. It helps me escape after a long day at work when I don't wanna think about anything serious and I just wanna be entertained. I also like the message: if you did it, anybody can. It's empowering and I hope it inspires people 💕

I’m 27.10 mins in and you said, you feel like yourself again. And I have to def agree. I love the stuttering Lydia/glowing Lydia the Lydia I believe we all fell in love with. You sound so happy excited overly excited lol ( I know I said it twice) but your back but better. It feels more real the stuttering the funny jokes etc that you do lol is refreshing. I’m so happy I have Lydia back. And again it’s ok to find yourself and I think it happened in the best of ways it could’ve ! So I’m happy your in this happy place. Following you around London etc, I have followed you since the start when it was just your blog. i used to buy everything you got from Boutiques and well THE Jeffrey Campbell’s 🤣 Now you have done so amazingly well and I can’t afford pretty much anything that you have now 😂😅 it’s still lovely to see the amazing things you buy and your style and beautiful home and life! I never missed any of your videos... you are truly an inspiration and you proves through hard work anything can be achieved... we're in different industries but I look for inspiration through your videos... people will always talk and be critical... but don't stop ... you have no idea how much lives you've touched... love love the summer pieces cuz I live in the Caribbean and can wear those all year round... loved that pink and Orange dress...😍😍
