Hi everyone! This is the last episode for this season in Italy. Thank you for being with me for what seems like a week of video but that was so intense at the same time. Thank you for the love shown for my videos and I hope they gave you some inspiration for your Italian summer 🥹
I'll be back with Seoul content and then a bit of traveling around the world before moving again to a new country! OOF things are going to take a 180 turn and I'm excited to share this new journey with you.

I don't know if it's a thing in Spain as well but in Italy we always say that Spanish people are our cousins or brothers ahah I totally agree and I love seeing the similarities with other countries, especially in the mediterranean area!

我理解您的意思。我老婆是北京人，我是罗马人，我记得小时候常去姥爷姥姥家住，气氛跟这视频里显示的一模一样。意大利和中国有不少的共同点，其中有两国社会历来都是以农业为主，虽然近几十年以来两国经济发展很快，社会上的进步不少，但是在大多数人民--我的意思是普通的老百姓--的心理上，有些东西没有改变。比如说，亲戚关系网络在第一位；有问题的话，首先尝试在家庭的“圆圈”内找个解决，家庭的闲事不轻易跟家外人讨论；老人、父母和子女的团结精神最重要，加强这种团结精神的工具之一就是在一起做饭、吃饭、庆祝生活上有意义的东西，从节日(你们有春节，我们有圣诞节）到孩子们成功读完书毕业等等。可惜的是，随着社会不断现代化的过程，已脱离了这种真心、温馨的家庭形式的年轻人越来越多，越来越走向北欧、北美的那种模型。Sad……

It wasn’t until your grandma said have more broth , you said no you’re good , and she said ‘have just a little bit more ‘ that i got tears in my eyes because that one small moment reminded me so much of my Italian grandma , I miss her so much . I love your Grandfather's code for wanting sweets. My Grandmother had a similar code. She used to carry candies around in her pocket and sneak them to all of her Grandchildren. She would secretly ruffle the wrappers in her pocket to signal us that she had candies in her pocket while trying not to alert our parents ❤

You're lucky to have such a loving grandma. I'm 100% Italian-American and my Italian born grandmother was very cold and distant regarding her grandchildren. She had many siblings who had emmigrated to the US and they and their families seem to have been her priority. She also made meatballs with walnuts and raisins in them that no one liked, which I think is a specialty of the region she was from but no one would eat them.

Spent 2 weeks in Italy not long ago. What a beautiful BEAUTIFUL way of life. Stayed with friends of ours at their home in Sicily for a few days and got a Sunday family dinner with like 20 people. I'll never forget it!

The kind of positivity the world needs ❤ I wish them long and happy life together. When you grandpa said "the ones who don't have grandparents got emotional, tell them to come" I teared up, because my grandparents lived with my mother and I when they got sick. My grandma used to say in Moroccan whenever I come from school or work " Ha Lalla Raja jat" which means " Miss Raja has came" and she starts singing in Arabic ❤ Now all I do is pray for them, they were good people but Life was hard on them too. Please make sure to cherish every moment with your loved ones. Tell them they are our grandparents too ❤ Ps: I'll definitely try the fried onions Spaghetti 😁😁

You are lucky to still have them in your life and that they are active and full of energy! Will definitely make the onion spaghetti, the caprese and the fritata although I'm sure they won't be like your nonna's. Many of us have huge modern kitchens that people don't use. Trends seem to state that that guests now congregate in kitchens. I call such kitchens cheese and wine kitchens( add a few crisps/potato chips,some olives and cheese and the lady of the house is already exhausted as she thinks she has turned out a meal😂😂😂. Looking at your nonna in her humble kitchen is what food is all about !!! Brava nonnina. Io come lei sò cucinare. Oh my gosh your grandparents are adorable! I love them! I love watching videos of people visiting relatives and family in other countries to see how much slower and more relaxed the lifestyle is. The food is made with love and in the simplest way! I'm going to try the zucchini! My mom used to put vinegar on my sunburns when I was little to take the sting out and she had to stop because I love vinegar and tried licking it off all the time! lol

When I see your grandparents it reminds me of my parents, instead of pasta they eat more vegetables or potatoes. In France you have three plates, main dish, salad and cheese and fruits or dessert. When I was a kid we had pasta on Wednesdays. At night we would have soup with a piece of fried or sautéed white fish and a yogurt. Those were the days when people would stop for a couple hours for lunch in France. When I came to the US in 1987 I had to learn to have light lunch which did not help me later with my weight. 😢😢😢.

OMG ARE YOU FOR REAL because I filmed something with my grandma. I really wanted to make a video about that but it was also nothing scripted (tbh I don’t want to force my grandma to remember some things and usually she just tells me stories all the time without me asking so I don’t need to ). I managed to turn on the camera in few moments but never edited/uploaded because I’m a little apprehensive about people possible reaction. Thank you for telling me tho!! You’re the first person mentionting that and it feels good knowing that someone thought about it :)

@@RosaDaniello well of course I am real about this. I live in Canada I am Italian...its so important and it is a period in history that is I feel important. People need to be reminded how easily our lives can change. To be honest it did! History is a valuable lesson to not take advantage of what we had. And your grandparents story is valuable to me anyway as a hope and reminder of remarkable human strength. As you mentioned it can't rain everyday! We had a reminder of that a while back. I thank if you choose that we would be so privileged to hear history ❤❤❤

Please please keep making these videos with your grandparents because your channel is one of the better ones because it actually shows you and your family eating and that is what is so charming and entertaining!! And your grandparents are so lovely sweet and funny!! I love your videos with them cooking and eating!! Honestly! It beats out the other Italian KZfaqrs with the same kind of theme. The way you film them and how you edit is perfect and so personal! Love all of their food so much that I made a week full of their recipes for my kids!! Please make more of these kinds of videos! Aloha Rosa! Your grandparents are so wonderful. There are not many good Italian restaurants here in Hawaii. Some are quite expensive because most of the authentic items are shipped in. I have many friends who are American Italians and met quite a few while living in Europe many years ago. I prefer the everyday cooking meals. I truly enjoy your videos. Enjoy your grandparents, its great that you are documenting those prescious times with them Bless you all! Ciao!

Ciao and grazie! I think my nonna's cooking is very easily adaptable to different parts of the world! I mean besides the mozzarella and prosciutto maybe, a lot of ingredients are not limited to Italy as a region but can be find almost anywhere, hope this gave you some inspiration! You don't need to break the bank to have delicious food 😚

These videos were so heartwarming for me, they made me feel nostalgic but also grateful for the little momments I got to spend with my grandparents too, a lot of the cooking tecniques and even some ingredients reminded me a lot of my grandma's cooking, the chicken broth specially when you took out the foam after boiling it's something she used to do as well, I will totally try the onion spaghetti and the zucchine alla scapece recipes, all the blessings to you and your grandparents, this was so wholesome and beautiful!!

This is so amazing to see your nonna peeling and cutting her vegetables like this... I grew up amazed at how my mother was able to do this without hurting herself! My nonna is from Naples and to see this I realized that that my mother just learned from seeing her own nonna prepare veggies.... It's pretty impressive honestly! And it's funny you mention the sharpness of her paring knife...I've always been scared that she will just slice through her thumb so I've also learned to accept that even though her trusty knife is dulling over time...it is actually a good thing 😂❤
