A few skills I think will be useful are the ability to read scientific papers, deliver oral presentations, and problem solve. The nice thing about a skill is that you can always improve with practice. Something that cannot be replicated, however, is grit! I personally believe that is the most important quality for anyone going into the sciences to have. As for the graduation project, I personally didn’t have to do one, so I’m not sure I can be of much help! I’m sorry!! :( but I’ve seen some friends use their own research project for their graduation project, kind of like a continuation of what they’ve already been working on. It also depends on what kind of resources the science department at your school has. I’d ask around and see if a science faculty is accepting undergraduate students in their lab for research (if you haven’t joined a lab already). That might be a good place to start! That's a great question! I've learned that research is almost always about persistence and pure love for science and discovery. I plan to make a video explaining more about the nature of my job (and other Q and A's). I hope it will better capture all that I want to share because there is a lot! I'd say, if you're curious about research, just try it out! Whether you end up loving or disliking it, you may discover something new about yourself and that's also very important!
