All the kids were super blessed. Out of all the kids my heart goes the most to Melinda. I'm sure there is a lot of insecurities, struggles..maybe even financial need and she won't say it. I received a personalized blanket for Christmas and I love it. I can understand how Halie loved hers so much. Melinda touched me with her favorite gift. Ariana wanting to go to a concert with her mom was an unexpected surprise.

You know your an adult when your favorite gifts are the practical house ones...the carpet cleaner that Alex got, and the food chopper that Haley got.😊

Bella - go to UC Davis! There are cows to pet near one housing area, goats you can visit, sheep that mow the weeds, and multiple horse facilities! Plus a vet school! And you can take electives like Tractor Driving and Chemistry of Coffee… so many fun things to do beside academic studies! Perfect for an animal lover.

Melinda and Hallie seem to understand the holiday best as far as their favorite gifts received were from the heart, not the expensive sneakers or high tech gifts. All the kids are very fortunate to have every pricey gift imaginable given at every holiday….it does make them happy though so all good - happy for them!

Love everything that the kid’s favorites were. Crystal I told my husband when we got married I didn’t want presents at Christmas cause I wanted to spend the money on something we needed for the house or we both wanted. Spending time together is the most important thing then all the presents like Melinda said.

I wanted to mention that Hannah’s stomach problems (does she get headaches too?) might be from heavily scented things! I know she likes all things makeup and beauty. Some people aren’t ‘allergic’ to the fragrances, but they can be sensitive to it and it can cause symptoms like she’s having.

My sweetest gift, was from my step grandpa. He gave me a doll named Brooke, that belonged to his late wife. She’s this beautiful doll that wears a business suit not a dress, which is so me. He gave it to me because of my entrepreneurial attitude and how I don’t like dresses and how it just fit me. To own something belonging to his beloved late wife is so special.

I just need to say that I so agree with Melinda. Don’t get me wrong, I love Christmas but for me it isn’t about the gifts. It’s more about having my parents ( of which my mom passed at 38 in ‘89 n my dad of whom passed last February ) my siblings, my daughter, son-in-law, my grandkids n all of whom has made an impact in my life. Never have I ever wanted materialistic things because to me, if u don’t have respect,love, kindness n humbleness within urself, then wat is there? You could try putting stickers made for windows/glass on Haley's door. My Gran's greyhound used to run into the patio door all the time so she got some butterfly stickers and put them at his eye level so he could recognise when it was closed😊

I'm glad you all had a great Christmas. Rosalie loved her presents. I normally get her 5, because shes gets tons of gifts from various family members. She's the youngest in the entire family,and the only kid under 16, so she gets very spoiled on her birthday and on Christmas l, but this year I got her 11, I kept seeing things she would love. She absolutely loved the purse set I got her, which I knew she would be she's 6 and super girly and lives everything pink. It came with accessories like a toy credit card and toy cell phone. Of course, she has a real cell phone. She's had it since she was 3. It's all cracked now, but it still works. My sister Maggie got a new iPhone for Christmas, she's 16. I went through Rosalies room on Christmas day and forgot how much toys and books and clothes this kid has. An entire room stacked with her stuff, not kidding. It's a small room, mind you, and lots of it is stuff that used to be Maggie's when she was a little kid.
