Legato is one of the main techniques that lead guitar players find themselves using when soloing and in today's lesson, I wanted to share some tips with you on how you can approach your legato technique to achieve a more fluid and even sound in your lines.
These tips are ones that I picked up from watching Tom Quayle's KZfaq lessons and courses over the years. Tom is a true master of the legato technique and I used to practice exercises from his Modern Legato 1 course on a daily basis, back when I was studying music at university.
Recently I decided to get back into legato playing and I found that the muscle memory I had developed from practicing said exercises was still somewhat there, so for the past few weeks I've been trying to revive my legato technique.
