Same with me. My specialty is a full sized heavy rwd sedan with a torquey engine (turbo v6 or a powerful v8) moving the vehicle smoothly or quickly for fun. Dodge charger, kia stinger gt, ls500, chevy ss, chrysler 300, cars like that. Lexus has a specialty in quality, refinement, longevity, craftsmanship, and traditionalism on their vehicles that i love. You can literally see it compared to other vehicles

I've been driving LS for 30 years and love them all! Was worried at first about the loss of the 8 but the 416 hp with 0-60 time of 4.6 put that fear to rest. My formula of waiting two years then buy certified worked again, have a Matador Red 19 with lots of options for $30k off! Great review, keep it up. Bob in Vero

@@InternetDude All the LS seem to be lame off the line unless you practice and learn to put in manual mode, then use paddle shifters. Brake torque a little bit, gas floored and enjoy the thrust! Fun downshifting too, practice a lot; you can't hurt these big boys. This market segment is slow now so just enjoy and drive, I'm not ready for an electric or SUV and arthritis says no to Corvette. Lexus won't build a worthy replacement high-end sedan for a long time and they are very hard to find used. Keep up the great work!

We have a 2002 LS430 and recently purchased an AWD 2020 LS500. We were sick of seeing SUVs and definitely did not want anything FWD based. We needed a large three box sedan with distinctive styling, good handling, reasonable fuel economy, a price that wasn’t exorbitant, and most of all reliability. That pretty much eliminated S Class and 7 Series. This big car is a head-turner and very striking in Caviar black. We love the safety features and the power. This car will haul ass! 😊

I bought a pre-owned 2018 LS especially because of the grill and the side profile, and the CD player. Nothing looks more sleek and sharp in my opinion, that this caviar black color.

LS is made exclusively for the USA market. Here, in Europe, we do not have roads or the parking places that this car deserves. it turns into a nightmare going to a hotel and you can't enter the garage door, or trying to go into a parking place and you surely can't get in...

I had an accident last week and totaled my 2018 LS with the kiriko glass executive package, and I’m sick about it. Looking for a new car and have considered BMW and Mercedes’. My heart keeps bringing me back to the LS. Hopefully I will find a similar equipped one soon.

Oh that sucks! I hear there are ride quality improvements for '21 and you also get a touchscreen so that might be worth considering over the '18-'20 model. The glass trim models are very rare. Personally I do like BMW & Mercedes but the thing holding me back is I want dependability and low stress ownership. I don't want to have to take it to the shop very often or be presented with expensive repair bills.

I love big sedans. I love the exterior design of the LS500. Not a big fan of the interior however. My biggest pet peeve is those Shrek ears on top of the instrument cluster. The rest of the dashboard is just alright. Wish the interior was closer to the LS460 which I had. I definitely want to test drive one of these someday.

The depreciation on these is pretty harsh, until recent events. Wait a couple of years and then car prices will be back to normal, I suspect.

Ha ha well to be honest I have a car problem LOL I like too many cars. The Town Car and other vehicles are cars I collect and fix up a bit, but don't drive very much. I wouldn't think of driving the Town Car across the country, but the Lexus I would trust to do any day, any time. I like having one newer, efficient, safe vehicle for daily driving and road trips.

Looking at a 2018 LS loaded. It is obviously out of warranty and can’t be certified because it isn’t at a Lexus dealer. Currently 42500, good price? Also what did you have go wrong with it at 5 or 6 years old? What should I watch out for? 48000 mi. On the clock.

I can't really comment on pricing, it's a regional thing to some extent. I had my coolant level drop a few times, and I had the massaging seat bladder fail twice, needing replacement. The air suspension sometimes sat uneven which was annoying. If it was me, I'd avoid the first year 2018. LS was built for me. Why only keep for a few years? How much did you loose selling so soon?

Hi, I traded it after just over 2 years for a new ES hybrid. I really wanted the hybrid powertrain as it is smoother and way more efficient. I purchased my LS500 used (it was around 1.5 years old when I got it) so I didn't lose too much, I estimate the first owner lost about $35K in depreciation. I tend not to keep cars much past about 3 years anyway. I had some troubles with the seat massager and air suspension and I have my worries in the long run about the turbos. I think if I had the hybrid LS and regular coil suspension I would have kept it, to be honest. But I do like the touchscreen and app access on my new ES. It's like getting 80% of the LS car but for 50% of the price (approximately). I have other LS500 ownership videos be sure to check out my channel.
