Cassie, I was in the same position when my first baby came (loooong time ago he’s 45 now!) water broke 3.5 weeks early… I was devastated and not prepared, as you just mentioned. He had to stay in the hospital under bilirubin lights, for a week, that was rough and broke my heart. My two babies after, were scheduled c-sections and full term and lots bigger. Its exciting to see you get prepared for your baby girl. My kids are done having more babies, I have two grandsons ages 13 and 9 and two granddaughters, ages 11 and 9…a truly fun part of my life!! 😊❤

I just had my baby girl 6 weeks ago and I feel like you hit on all the most important stuff. 3 things I brought that you didn’t mention were my prenatals because it’s good to continue taking those, a small portable fan (mostly for the sound lol) and then gum. Some studies have actually shown chewing gum after surgery helps prevent bowel issues. Also, I paid for the fancy disposable underwear and used like 1 pair. I’d just stock up on the free disposable underwear from the hospital and save your money. Good luck, wishing you a happy and safe delivery!

Your hospital should provide you with the disposable mesh undies. No need to pack any unless there’s a different kind you prefer. Some postpartum moms like the always disposable briefs since they have the pad built in

HAIR TIES! As an ex-midwifery assistant, I'm very impressed with your list, but I know that a woman's hair can drive her crazy if it's in the way during a c-section or labour or trying to feed the baby. I know they have you wear the surgical hat during the procedure, but there can be a lot of little things just before & after that it's much easier to have your hair tied back. And you can just stick a couple round your wrist before you leave the house.

I suggest getting a couple cans of dermaplast spray.That stuff is a life saver.

I think you packed great! With my c sections, I was so uncomfortable wearing clothes that I stayed in the hospital gown the whole time. It wasn't what I wanted, but everything else didn't work.
