Today I decided to break down all the money that I spend throughout an entire realistic week at the same time that I brought you guys around my week of classes, poster project, assignments and lab reports!

I use the Sony ZV1 but I made my first 21 videos using my iPhone 6s. Yeah, everyone can film decent videos on their phone. So if you want to start making videos yourself, just get started with your phone.

This video is very useful or international students wanting to study here because costs are usually their primary concern. Also my spanish teacher made empanadas for us in school. Yum, que rico!

thanks for this video ! could u maybe make a vid describing what you learned in your first year of physics undergrad and how it was structured and like the complexity of each of the topics/modules for ppl deciding if they wanna do physics at tcd. love your videos!

Thanks for that, Peter! That’s actually a really cool video idea! I should definitely make a video giving my thoughts and advice on whether someone should study physics given certain interests. I personally didn’t know if I was suited for the profile of students that take a physics course. I always thought, nah, physics is too advanced and hard and I don’t have a passion for it. Still, I think that motivation works in a similar way to passions. You have to cultivate it. I think that in that way you can transfer little interests, like enjoying the satisfaction of solving a math problem or some topics of physics that spark your interest, into real passions and learning that feels engaging and empowering! I’ll definitely write the idea down and I’ll probably film in during Easter or the Summer!

I'm 16 (italian) and this summer I'm going on a 3 week campus in Trinity College and this banger just showed up, great video (except for that pesto pasta part lol)! I was wondering if there are any trees in the campus where I can set up my gymnastic rings

Buonasera! Thank you, Lorenzo! That’s so cool! Didn’t know they had any summer programs!! Are you staying on campus then or somewhere else? Oh yeah, I knew some Italian would end up watching so I’m really sorry about the chicken and pasta. But one also has to eat protein, you know, and chicken with pesto tastes great so yeah 😓😂 There are lots of trees and lots of spaces where you could probably find a suitable spot! I think so! No one would mind!

Hi! So the academic term at Trinity is 38 weeks I think. No more than that for an undergraduate course. Aunque es cierto que si se puede hacer más barato el día a día evitando hacer gastos innecesarios en transporte o comida. La residencia privada es lo más caro y especialmente si está en el centro. Hay opciones más baratas para residencia, desde luego que sí. Y encima yo creo que es mejor vivir a las afuras. El centro no es lo más seguro! Hope that helps! Espero que ayude! Spain is beautiful but Ireland has its own different beauty. Most of Dublin City centre isn’t beautiful tho. Still, Ireland offers a way more open learning system than the Spanish one, where they do everything they can to fail you and to try to stop you from making progress. In Ireland, the system is similar to that of the UK and it feels way more natural and makes it easier to develop interest and passion on the course. The exams aren’t 100% of the grade as there is continuous assessment (something that isn’t very ingrained in the Spanish system). I really like Spain and Madrid as they are my home but I still love to be in Ireland with a very different still beautiful culture and scenery around the country!

Hey Mario 👋, im considering to come to trinity in 2024 as an international student and i don't know much about Dublin neither my parents and i really need to know about the housing stuff,part time jobs so we make a budget 😊 . Please help. Also your videos are awesome tbh 😎

Hi Britney! That's really cool! For housing, there are three options for the first year of an undergraduate course: 1. Trinity Hall: Trinity's own student accommodation for 1st years for which you have to apply and they give the rooms by a random selection. Basically, you will have to apply, starting around March, and the application closes in May. Then they will tell you if they can guarantee you a place at Halls. They only give rooms to 850 first years. 2. Private student accommodation: First of all, it is expensive. They go from 250-300€ per week for the usual ensuite rooms in a flat with a shared kitchen. The further from the centre the cheaper that it gets. 3. Rent someone's house or live with a family: You can find many offers at Daft.ie or similar websites. There are many options (but you need to look early at them) for sharing a flat with another student or living with a family. This is cheaper but can still be somewhat expensive compared to the rest of Europe. I think that’s somewhat of a brief summary of the living options. Related to jobs, in the previous video to this one I asked Trinity students about their spending and part-job opportunities so do consider checking it out! I have been told that if you want a job and you go around cafes, pubs and retail stores it won’t take too long to get some opportunities. Everyone is always hiring everywhere around Dublin.
