I was around 80 or so pages into The Familiar but decided to temporarily DNF it as I was finding myself forcing myself to read it and just wasn't in something super slow paced. I did love the setting and writing though! Hopefully it'll work out for me better when I try again in the fall.

I didn’t know that about poly triads but that makes sense. I’m planning to binge The Final Strife when the finale comes out later this year. A little worried about the unlikable characters (as such a character-driven reader) but I’ve heard such good things.
