Thanks for sorting my thoughts. I now know I'm gonna get a smaller fairing than I thought I wanted. Probably the Roadwarrior is the biggest one to fulfill my needs. Man I’ve been following you ever since I got my first Dyna a few years back, and it’s been such a learning experience. I’m on a Softail looking at either going to a Glide or back to a Dyna, and I as seriously curious about these FXR Fairings and how much wind it cuts. South Dakota is pretty open and windy, so that’s a factor. I’m glad I decided to look at your review for this, Lowrider S here I come 🤘🏽

The FXRP fairing ruined me for riding without a fairing, I was able to stretch my distance so much farther effortlessly and not worry about the weather. My KZ1000 cop bike fairing looked a lot like the FXRP fairing too.

One thing I have noticed is you gotta not cheap out and buy a cheap version, go for top quality like the Big Bear Performance or one of the more expensive brands, basically “ You get what you pay for! “ I know one person that had crazy fitment issues and you’re totally right, doesn’t really slow you down spitting but you gotta be more precise! I as you know have bags and a crash bar and I know my width of my bike so well that I could probably split with my eyes closed lol, pretty sure I’m gonna go with the BBP I highly recommend dealing with Kevin at Big Bear performance, the man knows his shit! Don’t cheap out and try to save a few dollars? It will cost you more in the long run!

I bought the JDcustoms fairing with lowers. Putting it on a FXLRS; needed new bars for clearance. all in with harley barracuda silver paint, it was around 3-4k. It's worth it though if you ride a lot of highway miles.

FXRT faring came from the west coast back from the 70s, Cali . Became popular again from the club style scene. Great faring on any Harley

My fairing is Carbon fiber which is actually lighter than my Roadwarrior. The mounting brackets are where the weight comes from on my setup

Great video! I was thinking of getting an FXRT fairing. I'm a total canyon carver. I'm rocking a Mephis Shades Road Warrior. Question with all the FXR fairings out there which fairing in your opinion is more OEM compatible, plug and play no massaging or adjusting....

I've never had any issues with crosswinds with either fairing, I think that is more of an issue with Batwings

I finally pulled the trigger on one. I’ve been running mine for about a month the cost adds up Quick but to me the The benefits and the purpose of the faring outweigh the cost. I had to upgrade my bars and Fab little brackets for the lowers. I’m just a working class dude. So got the amazon one. It was a gamble that paid off.

That fairing isn’t that wide. I can lane split no problem. Yeah you have to weave a little more but you can mob through traffic

Yep - The thing that actually made lane splitting harder for some reason was when I put the lowers on - Just something about not having the visibility when you look down there

Hi Jenny! Although the video was informative I was enjoying looking at the street signs. When you were in Fort Greene I was hoping that you would go past Brooklyn Tech high school. Also the neighborhoods you were riding in were pretty sketchy on the 60s and 70s. Even into the 80s you didn't want to get caught there at night. But you passed Greene Ave which is the street I lived on but not Wycoff. Stay safe.

Just put this on a wide glide 3 weeks ago... had to fab a bunch for the brackets but just crushed 3600 miles in the last 10 days... Boise to Daytona before I wore the rear sprocket out. Thankfully your headlight video gave me the insight to fix on the road. Should have done it prior but too excited to crush miles... had a tsport prior and i’ld feel the ride after about 3/400 miles... this fairing is an easy 700 all day... weather permitting haha. Just retired military and this fairing is a must for my country ride, Boise-Vegas-Phoenix-San Antonio-Miami-Daytona-Raleigh-Boston-Buffalo-Chicago-St Louis-Denver-Boise Thanks for the vid man... maybe I’ll catch you riding through NY on Friday. ✊🏾👊🏾✊🏾

On my trip so far, the rear DNA fat daddy spokes backed out of the hub, never seen that before... replaced with stock rim. Then my bungking sprocket failed and the teeth turned into a shark fin. Wild but love every min of this trip. Watched all your videos and it’s helped in planning this trip. IG I go by @braaps_ready.Love the channel n keep up the great content

Laidlaw Harely Davidson done couple builds using the FXRT Fairing on a Sport Glide, that sort turned em on to them and really like how they look on Road King too. Have fun and be safe.

Cost was the number 1 thing you mentioned. I am looking buying a 2020 Low Rider S and getting the RWD fairing installed. Dealership quoted me $7,000 Prep, Paint and install. Seems crazy high but trying to get some real world examples. Thanks!

@@FXDLSBrooklyn, I definitely believe it. I grew up in CT and would often jump on the Metro North just to wander around the NYC for a day. Only ever drove in the city in an ambulance and that wasnt much fun. I live just outside Memphis now and while the congestion and one way streets arent as bad, its a bit scary to ride here.

@@FXDLSBrooklyn you know, you're probably right. When I first got my LRS last summer, I couldn't stand the gauge relocation stuff. I preferred it the old school way on the tank. A year later, I'm actually considering relocating. LMAO
