Try EARPLANES, available in airport stores & also drug stores. Follow the instructions and they work wonders to prevent blocked ears and pressure in general. CHEERS!

You picked a higher end cruise line that caters to a certain demographic that tends to sway older, and then didn't like any of the activities for older people. You probably would have had a better time on a lower cost cruise line, because those lines are trying to have something for everyone. Look into one of those and then upgrade that experience. Like NCL Haven. I think it would be a happy medium for you and your husband.

That's good to know that Celebrity doesn't work for texting, I'll definitely keep that in mind for future trips. I am about to leave for Alaska on the Norwegian Bliss and the wifi package specifies that you can use messaging apps like Messenger and WhatsApp, as well as iMessage.
