They are theoretical, but Remember that we have predicted tons of things in the universe. With just numbers we can accurately predict the orbit of entire planets, and we knew there was Neptune before we even saw it just with a tiny 1800s telescope. Maybe one day the prediction of white holes may come true.

A few misconceptions, if the form of white hole you’re referring to was once a black hole, then it’s only what it is because it’s utterly tiny, but it can still shoot out matter for a long time, so overall it would be like two black holes colliding while one is shooting out way more Hawking radiation than the other. Also the white hole wouldn’t add that much mass to the black hole, less than a sun’s worth of matter.

@@axellacce1470 eh even Einstein himself didn't think black holes could actually exist despite being predicted by the math. white holes are in the exact same situation black holes were only a few decades ago. its far to early to say whether they exist or not. a conclusion in either direction is hubris at best right now.

CORVIN the Gamer Boy Technically, wormholes are not proven to exist but there are two theories that might explain it. The first one was proposed in 1935 by Albert Einstein and Nathan Rosen and is what we generally think of as a wormhole and it is just a doorway connecting to points in space time but according to their math, that type of wormhole would collapse instantly the moment it forms. The other theory is the theory about black holes and white holes being connected. This is the only current theory for a stable wormhole right now but the Einstein-Rosen one could theoretically be held open with negative mass (basically it would push itself open). Negative mass is a really weird thing that only exists at the quantum level and is basically being created with positive mass and destroyed at the same time at that level.

I'm gonna step in here and state something... If a white whole existed I wouldn't fear our planets destruction I'd fear the destruction of the universe... Where would the energy come from... A black hole? If so than if a black hole met it's white whole one or the other wouldn't win. Not only that but it would ruin everything we know about black holes... Which is already mostly theoretical. So yes... It is more probable for angels and demons to exist... Since they already do to our knowledge... I'm Christian btw

There was in fact a space oddity, it was a gamma ray burst, at first it was theorized to be a newly formed neutron star, but the gamma ray had a duration of 109 seconds instead of the usual 3-10 seconds, it wasn't a black hole formation either because there was no supernova, so it was hypothesized as a white hole. And yes, white holes are a thing in science, it isnt as this video describes it since it's all for pure dramatical purposes but basically, a white hole is a black hole that exists backwards in time, this means that the local entropy of a certain zone in the universe has to drop in order for the formation of a white hole to be possible, and white holes have a singularity or ringularity like black holes, it's just that it expels matter. White holes can also be the end of an Einstein-Rosen bridge, which is basically what is hypothesized to happen if you fall in a spinning black hole, the problem is it would take you an eternity to pass from one end to another. Also, black holes dont become white holes because black holes evaporate in large (and I mean huge) amounts of time depending on mass cause of hawking radiation. In short words, evolution is a theory and so is white holes, I hereby rest my case.

A white hole doesn't expel energy, it has positive mass so its at the density of a black hole but is the opposite (meaning instead of every direction going away frome the singularity, every direction points towards the singularity). Hope that cleared up some confusion! :)

Spr.l that’s a fair point, I just was in the notion that black holes basically deteriorate over time due to Hawking radiation and don’t become white holes, but perhaps some do? Who knows? The concepts are really fun and I hope I can become more knowledgeable about this sort of thing when I take astronomy in college!
