If you count the nincada line, there has been an evolutionary line that has a different secondary type for each Pokémon Nincada-Bug/Ground Ninjask-Bug/Flying Shedinja-Bug/Ghost I do think it fits the timburr line though

For Eelektross' line, Electric/Water would make more sense. Not because it's an eel (I think a floating, land based eel is a great concept) but because it's dex directly mentions it crawling onto shore and dragging prey into the waters.

Prediction- 90% will become ground type

suggestion: give Simisage, Simisear and Simipour the Dark type These monkeys are based on the three wise monkeys like their pre evolutions, however, unlike them, the evolved forms also represent those who swayed off the path, for these monkeys FAILED to do what they've sworn to never do: Simisage is rude and very ill-tempered, thus speaking evil; Simisear has elements of a biker in his design, and bikers make a LOT of loud noise, thus hearing evil; and Simipour is based on japanese fashion trends (I think they're called Gyaru?) that are very colorful and "shouting", which could imply as seeing evil? basically, the Simis have lost their path and even went against it, thus needing the Dark type p.s. if Simisage was given the Dark type because he became rude, then perhaps Zarude is simply an EXTREMELY evil Simisage, so rude it became his trademark, THE rude

The simis should have the dark type added to them to further hint at their origins of the three wise monkeys which failed to “Speak no Evil”, “Hear no Evil” and “See no Evil”, the babies could prolly stay as monotype tho lol

the Trubbish line should've been Poison/Ground to symbolise the poisoning of the ground by trash. likewise, Grimer & Muk should've had the Water type & Koffin & Weezin the Flying type.

Wouldn’t it make more sense for Cofagerigus to be Ghost/Steel? At least I always thought they were made of gold, plus it doesn’t overlap with their Galarian forms. Also, Psychic/Poison for Reuniclus, it’s dex entries describe it’s liquid as being poisonous.

the lillipup line also has the sand rush ability, that is very ground type

Patrat should be Normal/Ground, as its skirmish and hides to scout around, but Watchog should be Normal/Psychic- its able to light up its yellow stripes, so I think psychic is a better fit. The Lillipup line should become Normal/Fighting- I mean, Herdier and Stoutland are tough guard dogs. They should def. be part Fighting- maybe Fairy type for Lillipup though.

I think, with their weird hypnotic eyes, Patrat and Watchog should be Normal/Psychic

Technically the Nincada line falls under the description of different type for each stage. Nincada: Bug/Ground Ninjask: Bug/Flying Shedinja: Bug/Ghost

I think Emboar's line, as a whole, should be Fire/Ground. I could certainly see them living in a heat struck savanna, and it'd be unique, for a starter at least. It's barely got any Fighting moves anyway.

Actually for tepig ground would make sense,a lot of pigs like mud and dig for truffles

One of the things they set out to do in Unova was release a new single-typed Pokemon for each type, which I think is super cool. That said I can't wait to see how they shake out

I am so happy zebstrika is dark type. They are so cool. I wish they galvanize to make them more viable

I think samurott fits fighting better especially when it can learn revenge, rock smash, superpower, detect and sacred sword. Its a no brainer for samurott to being fighting.

I would make Fraxure the Rock type so it’s a cool transition into harder and harder types.

IMO Beartic should be Ice/ Water. Polar Bears spentes lots of time in the water (like when they have to swim miles when the ice melts in the summer). Their hidden ability is Swift Swim, and learn some level up water moves: Aqua Jet and Brine (and some by TM, and TR)

the dark type for karrablast is also really fitting because it’s based on a beetle that eats snails and takes their shells, its not technically canon but a lot of people think that during a trade the karrablast will attempt to eat the shelmet but it happens too fast and only manages to steal its shell

Patrat line - Normal / Psychic (Change its glow from a natural to psychic phenomenon) Cofagrigus - Ghost / Rock (Distances it from Runerigus) Solosis line - Psychic / Water (Its a creature floating in a jelly sac) Vanillite - Ice / Rock (Just give a rock core that the ice has formed around)

Beartic should be Ice/Water because it learns water moves and it gets swift swim.Cubchoo can stay Ice/Normal since I dont think it has enough water type qualities except its snot-thing I also think the Haxorus line should be dragon/fighting because they have axes on their faces which are weapons for battling but having dragon/steel on my favorite gen 5 pokemon is really cool

The Timburr lines new typings would also mimic the swords of justice! Perfect.

Galarian Yamask should be Rock-Ghost type. I do think it makes lots of sense. Even more than the ground type. They carry Rocks with then,not ground

I've been telling this to people for years... We need more abilities like Steelworker. Give Pokemon abilities that give them a 2'nd/3'rd STAB without adding a type. Dhelmise has 3 STAB's.

You could've made the yamask line ghost/steel (before aegislash comes in). because Steel is a substitute for mineral or metal in the pokemon world. also Sarcophagi are made with precious metals embedded in their crust.

The most surprising part of this video was me realising that Darmanitan is a pure Fire type. How have I gone this many years thinking it was Fire Fighting?

I think that Zorua and Zoroark would fit Fairy type fairly well due to their trickster nature, though it would mirror the Impidimp line.

Technically, Swablu's line does the same as your idea for Timburr's. Just that instead of having Altaria evolve? It Mega Evolves instead. Point is, that Swablu is Normal/Flying, Altaria is Dragon/Flying, and Mega Altaria is Dragon/Fairy!

About the Oshawott line, I think they should have been watee/bug type. I know it sounds silly but hear me out: The learn most physical bug attacks, most physical bugs have a sword theme like Kricktune, Escavalier or Armaldo and it would make a great addition to the starter dynamic: Being bug makes Samurott neutral to fire and to grass

They really should have given the goths either dark or ghost type, like I know they're supposed to be counterparts for the ralts line but still they could have been dual types.also also as I saw somewhere that the herdier line is used for mareep, ground would actually really help with that

I personally would've made Beheeyem Psychic/Electric due to its technology interrupting abilities and flashing lights

Reuniclus could also be poison due to some of its pokedex entries saying the goo it floats in is highly toxic. Another option could be fighting because it uses it's arms to crush boulders...so it could go from poison to fighting?

The regional monkeys would fit with Dark (or ironic Fairy) type, actually. consider their inspiration of the Three Wise Monkeys with "See/Hear/Do No Evil", and the relatively high number of Dark moves they learn.

I never noticed this until now, but this generation has a lot of pokemon that could be sound type for when we finally get the type

Remember as well that Herrdier and Stoutland gets Sand Rush, so the Normal/Ground typing really works well

Tynamo line definitely needs to be a water type, it’s a small fish and two eels.

There were 3 early game non bug or bird lines in Unova with Lilipup, Patratt and Purrloin but I always found it weird how whilst the other two were pure normal Purrloin was Dark I think it’d be so much cooler if they all had the normal type but Herdier (no stoutland to keep with the 2 stage evo) was fighting, Watchog was Psychic and Liepard was Dark, they all fit those types and it would show a nice type triangle

Timburr being Grass/Fighting has the same type as Virizion Gurdurr being Steel/Fighting has the same type as Cobalion Conkeldurr being Rock/Fighting has the same type as Terrakion cool.

There should be a ROM hack that enclods every pokemon as dual type

The Trapinch line should’ve been all unique types imo, having Trapinch as mono Ground, Vibrava as Ground/Flying, and Flygon Ground/Dragon.

I was thinking giving the cubchoo line the water type would work a lot more than the normal type. It gets a lot of water type moves, and polar bears are the most aquatic of the bears.

I might’ve gone with Fire for Bliztle and Zebstrika myself, probably mostly because of their knowing Flame Charge, and some of the spikes can look kinda fiery, but that requires more squinting. And this ain’t Sinnoh, so it’s not like Fire was desperately needed
