I'm original from Chile, and living in a long country is pretty cool: There's only one highway along the country crossing almost all regions. Also you always know where you are: mountains east, ocean west. Weather is also nice, never too hot, never too cold (25F to 95F). The landscape is beautiful, especially the south. It's like a less populated New Zealand. Also, the south of Chile is one of the places on earth that will not be so affected by climate change, at least not for hundreds of years, so buying land there is a good long term investment.
