1: Make his hero costume water proof with a heating system aspect to dry him out. 2: If he can ionize his sand to become water resistant. (Not completely water proof but limiting the amount that can be absorbed alowing movement.)

The part I like about this what if is that I can tell it is different. When I say everyone I mean everyone does the same fruits. Ex. Gum gum fruit, string string fruit, kaidos fruit, ope ope no mi. But this is different and he fixed the boredom of the what if’s with using a different fruit. Remember if I am wrong that’s because I didn’t watch it yet. This is a prediction.

Why not a special type of cloths that when get wet the just slid off it and since deku is sand he can just retreat in the clothing but have small opening where he can send sand bullets?

Btw for the rain a rain coat can protect him from water but large pools of water he can’t be saved unless he is pulled out buy someone and the water only makes him vulnerable aka being hit or attack but it doesn’t stop him from moving

imma be honest alot of the ability weaknesses are something i never have seen so far in one piece, by this i mean when splashed with water, yes he cant use suna, but can still move unless submerged, also devil fruit users know how to turn into their element, and how to activate the ability, so basically the fruit also gives them the basic understanding of the power

remember that's not even the weakness. the weakness is that if the user's sand comes in contact with any liquids (Including Water, Blood & Potential Saliva), it prevents the sand from dispersing and thus doesn't allows the user their intangability. (Per the concept of damp sand sticking together due to surface tension). However the liquid has to be external as shown when Crocodile drank wine then a few minutes later turned into sand to dodge an attack from Vivi.

Seems like alot of people believe this myth. Any liquid affect devil fruit users. It's even worse for the suna suna no mi. In luffy vs Crocodile, luffy used his own blood (a liquid) so that Croc couldn't turn into sand

And better for a story, because Deku will still have a weakness to the rain but he’ll get better and better at avoiding it, but it could add some great elements, such as housu city, what if it started raining when Deku gets into the alley, he would be helpless as he watches his friend die, than Deku gets angry, and the writer can go from there

If you don't want to pull some clever solution just go the cannon route where he just uses his human body, not the sand one that he's almost always in because it make him near invincible. You could say that since he's young and inexpirienced and since he was paniking wasn't thinking clearly, also by the way it sounded like he hasn't needed to use this before and would make sense.

So I watched the whole vid and my idea for what izuku can do is manipulate stuff that have enough sand to be able to control it. Like stuff that is not all sand but have enough of it so he can control it.
