I'm just going to settle this here, there was four-six Jedi who went rogue to seek power and they created the Sith Order. Darth Bane created the Rule of Two and Sorzus Syn created the Sith Code. Palpatine/Sidious was the apprentice of Plagueis, he had no importance really. He was like many other Sith and in my opinion weaker. I'd say Tulak Hord was the most powerful, he killed entire armies using his lightsaber, (not aided by the force) and it was rumoured he knew the path to immortality which Revan tried to find out but failed.

That's not true, Palpatine wasn't the one who created the Sith Order, It was another one let me tell you: The first Sith Lord was a Jedi who became evil and then, Others followed him. Together they tried to destroy the Jedi. The Jedi thought they could destroy the Sith but then, 1 Sith survived. He took an apprentice and went hiding. Then, The Sith got their revenge on the Jedi.
