I really like cooler. maybe so because of the english voice actor bringing him to life. but i also like that he admits to making a mistake by letting goku ship escape, for some reason that made him feel more real. I also like his different forms, superb. I like that he's also, at least in his base form, emotionally stable and laid back.

One of My headcanons has been that if the movies didn't happen then Cooler has stepped in to fill King Cold's role at some point Either that or he's just off somewhere being a space pirate/warrior/ is locked away as some mindless super powerful being Or became one with some machines Honestly there's a ton of potential for stories I think that's why people love the idea of Cooler

I remember this video, did KZfaq take this one down? I am interested in what role the Crusher Corp might've played in this as you could relate equate them to Chelai and Begamo. Still not a fan of Frieza having ever been innocent. Some characters are just born evil and that could've been a cool dichotomy to explore. Cooler being groomed by his position, but Frieza just being an evil freak of nature. I love the idea of Broly vs Cooler and your vision of Cooler as this tragic, mechanized Terminator figure. The themes and the narrative fits so well, especially if you want to cater to the edgier side of the fanbase. You pulled aspects that worked in both movies and pushed them even further with the aid of various sci-fi movies that has inspired Dragon Ball in the past. This version of Cooler feels right, in the same way Broly feels right but like with Broly. I wish it was polished a bit more. For example MasakoX's What If Cooler Turned Good has an amazing backstory where Cooler is a charismatic Commander that fights alongside his troops. That overall image feels more accurate to the original version. So getting a little more of that vibe before he is betrayed and transformed might work.

Cooler honestly seems more chill than Frieza, would be badass if cooler could officially be the first canonically somewhat good Frieza race member. (He could be a lawful neutral businessman making profit for his own organization like the Frieza force but through universal trades and deals like protection and so on. God, I hope Cooler isn’t added into Cannon like this. They would ruin Cooler almost straight away, just by him having Golden or the Black Form.
