In today's video, I'm going to be playing "an Unofficial Streetview World", which includes every single country in the world, even those without Google coverage. This means, of course, that guessing is much harder than normal and provides a refreshing challenge. Enjoy the video!

Catholics and some protestant denominations celebrate ash Wednesday, which is the start of Lent-the 40 day period of fasting and almsgiving leading up to Easter. During the Ash Wednesday service, the priest makes a cross on your forehead out of the ashes of palms from last year's palm Sunday mass.

You can identify the state in India from license plates if they are not blurred like in this case, in 14:55 you can see the first two letter on the plate says 'MP' which means Madhya pradesh and 'MH' for maharashtra etc.

Hello Oscar, just adding some fun facts about St-Martin island in the carribean. It is indeed shared by France and The Netherlands, the only border by land between the two countries. It has also one of the tiniest airports in the world, videos of the landings are spectacular ! In the Dutch part, which is more touristic, the official money is the US Dollar. Great video as always

Enjoyable video as always! At 8:48 You were exiting the town going west so it had to be the west side of it. There was an off road blocked by trees that helped me 5k. At 12:14 there were some yellow norwegian signs to the east in the distance. I almost beat you on the second seed but your India region guess was too good :')

Screaming at the Slovenia round because my hometown is close to Trojane. 😂 Nice pronunciation on the town names. I do have one note, though: C is pronounced like the Germans pronounce Z, and the letter that has the "ch" sound is Č. (so if the C has a little thingy above it, it's "ch," otherwise it's a German Z.) 🙂 Btw, a very impressive second game overall.

Hey Oscar, there is this fun game called Hide and seek world. You can hide anywhere in the world, then the other players have to guess where you are hiding and you have to guess where they are hiding. Its really fun.

I'm not sure if this particular license plate had it, but on a fair number of Indian Number plates you get a two letter abbreviation with the State (GA for Goa, PB for Punjab etc) sometimes you can even see it on the side of trucks unobscured

I love this type of map. I really appreciate how it also throws off normal GeoGuessr countries. People like to say Urban rounds are easy, but I go downtown Stockholm on that Iceland guess too. Not enough rounds are downtown Reykjavik.

14:58 FYI: The number plate starts with MP and it stands for Madhya Pradesh. The first two letters in Indian license plates are short for the state names.

In Swedish and Norwegian, K in -köping (~market town, köpa=buy), sounds similar to ch. (Chipping also in old English!). Other languages as far as I can see use hard K. København, Kaufen etc.

Fun fact, Sint-Maarten and Saint-Martin are indeed shared between France and the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The “dutch” part actually became an independent constituent country (together with aruba and curacao) in 2010. So it is its own country now (comparable to the united kingdom which consists of multiple countries). A couple years ago there was a bad tsunami, which led to support from the EU for only the french part because it was technically part of france and thus the EU, the dutch part has a different status

Celje is pronunced like "tselye". Trojane village has very famous donuts (they don't look like American ones and they also don't look like Trojan horses haha). Congratulations on good guesses!🙂

Saint Martin I like this map, in part, because it reveals what geography hardcore GeoGuessr players know outside of the game. While most normal people don't know it, I was surprised Oscar didn't know about the island of Saint Martin nor the French collectivity of Saint Martin nor Sint Maarten, the constituent country of the Netherlands. France's Saint Martin is an outermost region of the European Union and is part of the eurozone. For context, France's other overseas collectivities are French Polynesia, Saint Barthélemy, Saint Pierre & Miquelon, Wallis & Futuna, and French Southern & Antarctic Lands. This differs from France's overseas departments/regions of French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Mayotte, and Réunion. Those all have the same status of mainland France's departments/regions. They also differ from the more independent "sui generis collectivity" of New Caledonia. France is confusing. Meanwhile, Sint Maarten is one of the constituent countries of the Kingdom of the Netherlands along with Aruba, Curaçao, and the Netherlands. Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba are all special municipalities within the country of the Netherlands.

Nice map. First challenge: I 5k'd the Iceland round. I immediately had Reykjavik vibes (I have been there 15 years ago), which I felt were confirmed by no blue strip on the plate. I then found a matching square. Otherwise not great. Got Laos, went Oman on Kuwait (I don't think Pakistan really makes sense here, it is much more chaotic there) and Minas Gerais instead of Santa Catarina. Plus Central Uruguay plonk. 18,136 points. 2nd challenge: 5k'd Slovenia (I think compass wasn't quite right which made it a bit tricky). Like you I went Antigua instead of the Grenadines. Went Bodø in Norway (there was even a Scandic!). It said Grevenmacher on the sign so I also 5k'd that in Luxembourg (although lucky as I was in parallel road). Guessed India correctly but had no real idea where so plonked on the India label, which wasn't too bad but total luck! 22,414 points.
