MEGAN! You complete your bucket list item every week! You have an audience of over 100,000 women you speak to every week, and we truly value what you say! If you have something very meaningful you’ve been wanting to say, please say it, I would love to hear and learn from you! You are a role model certainly!

Megan!! You are speaking to a community of women. You are encouraging and inspiring people, right here, right now. There have been several moments where I faced a problem and I stop and think, "what would Megan say about this?" And I know the first thing you would say is to take it to God first and foremost. You are empowering women in the most biblical sense. Jayna!! Your laugh is contagious! I love giggling along with you about whatever it is that has tickled you in the moment. You are encouraging women through every episode, and I am so grateful for you both to have chosen to share your thoughts and ideas with us. You are true Titus 2 women. 💛💛

Re: going gray-I made the decision when I was super young (like 5 or 6!) that I would be a gray haired grandma! One of my grandmas was gray and the other dyed her hair until the day she died, and while I loved both of them so much, I wanted gray hair. I have some “wisdom hairs” coming in now and I honestly love them. Not everyone gets the chance to grow old and I plan to embrace my age! 😊

Jana....profound......two things can be true at the same time: you can be grateful and sad.......Ten years ago I stopped coloring my hair. It is long and white and it has been liberating to go natural. Then grey became fashionable and people thought my hair color was a salon creation...lol.

I've had my Church leader say that if you compare yourself to someone, compare your life to those who lived in the 1800s. That is so good! I instantly feel very blessed by everything when I do that..I have indoor plumbing and hot water, electric appliances, especially a washer and dryer. I really am blessed So much!💕

Sometimes you can want to be a Mom and homemaker but it does not work out that way. I lost my son at almost 7 months in 1991 at 26 and then was divorced which is not what I wanted and then at 31 I had ovarian cancer and could no longer have children. I did get remarried and had step children and was told we would adopt a child but then he backed out and said he couldn’t do it even though I took care of his son. Then he divorced me because he wanted to go out and drink with other women all the time. So God can have a different plan for us. I am now married again to a wonderful man for 7 years at 57 with 4 step daughters and almost 4 grandchildren that calll me Granny. ❤

Megan - it's almost laughable to me that your big bucket list item is standing in front of a room of women and speaking authoritatively on a topic that moves people and influences them for the better. Why? Because you're already doing it, babe. EVERYTIME I watch/listen to Honey, I'm Homemaker, the Lord uses you both to encourage me in every area of my calling in this season of life - as a mom, as a wife, as a friend, as a church member, as an employee - even as a musician. You are wise beyond your years as you intentionally flourish in the roles the Lord has called you to, and this platform is your "room"! The conference attendees to your lecture are your thousands of subscribers. You ARE motivating, inspiring, and influencing the worldview of so many of us. Shoot, you might be less influential behind a podium than you are sitting here in a chair in your home. Don't underestimate how the Holy Spirit is using your ministry of faithfulness to those who get these little glimpses into your life.

I relate to Jayna SO much from having had multiple miscarriages to the ideal day being eating good food by myself and shopping 😆 and same with making plans with friends, its so much more fun to have it be kids free especially during school when youre in the season of life where all your kids are in school and you can basically do whatever you want. Currently loving that season!

Hi Ladies, I am turning 43 soon and I did dye my dark brown hair in the recent years (because getting grey) but I was really fed up with it. So in the beginning of this year I chose to give it up. I used to got told, I looked younger a lot in the last years, so I thought, screw it, lets look as old as you are. I live in Germany and am not Mennonite (but christian). I got a few streaks of blond at the hairdresser to blend in the incoming grey better with the dark brown ends. I'll advise anybody with kinda dark hair to not even start dying their hair because the grey comes in slowly naturally. But if you dye, you`ll have a harsh line.

Love listening to young ladies /mommy's chat and the topics you bring up. At 77 I can say you are right on target and I can tell you don't fall far from many who think the same. You are so delightful and do bring a lot to be contemplated. Love the idea of you having your little ones learning and doing little tasks to start on their learning process. No one even at eighteen knows how to go and run a home but with what you are doing you have your little ones headed in the right direction to be well rounded and ready for what life will deal them when they are older and ready to go about on their own. Lots I could add but it would be things that you will continue to learn as your lives evolve. No one answer is patt for each person/ man or woman or family / marriage. God bless you both and thank you for what you give your audience. Truly very enjoyable!

Hello Megan and Jayna; Hoping you have a wonderful time off... will look forward to your refreshed return! I am appreciating, very much, your chat today...!!! Thank you, yes, I have always believed our children are people too (although smaller versions) still people deserving of equal value and respect! And, being grateful... this is soooo important, I feel, this is soo well said... we may have dreams and aspirations and still be grateful for that that has come our way and is with us now! As to comparisons, and being grateful for where we are...this also has a value because, I feel we are not so much comparing ourselves to others as much as appreciating the value of the work before each of us to help us and each other reach our goals and this is also (I feel) where we lean on God and to His support to help us be comfortable with where we are and work towards our goals. I often reflect on a step (leap) of faith and the value and trust we must bring forward to take those steps with the confidence of God's love and wisdom (I find I must put my faith forward here, many times the foot is a bit shaky while the willingness is strong). Thank you both so much again for taking the time to be open and sharing... it means a great deal to me as I am sure your experiences and wisdom mean a great deal to others enjoying your chat. Take care God Bless you both Linda in Canada (with seven decades and counting...) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Yes 🙌 when my children were all home I always had my quiet time which usually meant a nap , if they were too old to nap that had to lay down an read and be quiet . The rule was , don’t wake Mom unless the house is on fire 🔥😄they still repeat that as adults .Megan that’s a very good thing to have on your bucket list , I was asked to speak to a group of women and once I got over the first nerves I actually enjoyed it and it was so rewarding. We found a lot of common ground and made some great friends.

Jayna- after several miscarriages I just found out I have a mutation on the MTHFR gene. Something to test for if you haven’t already. I am currently pregnant again and have to give myself a blood thinner injection daily because the mutation causes blood clotting as well as folate methylation issues. Folate is very important during pregnancy so I also have to take a special supplement.

Haha, Jayna, i got my ears peirced 1 yr ago at age 29 and I've been wearing earrings every day since. Its soo much fun! And i don't buy super expensive earrings, ive only spent like $100 on my collection, but my friends know i like them so ive been gifted a few as well. But i hate wearing rings,so i don't wear a wedding band. Ive also started coloring my hair 6 months ago and its a slippery slope. I've been dying my ends purple and also have a small undercut with a design. I love it 💜

I started going gray a few years ago and I have started getting compliments on it lately! It's so weird! But when I got my hair cut last time, another hairdresser asked if it was natural and that it was beautiful. And I was thinking, why would someone do it on purpose? But I found out that it is very on trend right now at least where I am. Who'd have thought? When I was younger, I colored it to cover, but now, I just don't care, plus at the same time, my hair went curly!

I was wondering if any of you or viewers have any advice for a new mother struggling with this role. I was really looking forward to becoming a mother and a homemaker, I thought that this would be perfect for me, but the reality is very different. My baby had some health problems, I ended up pumping my milk which takes a lot of time, my house is a mess, it's difficult to find at least some time to eat and sleep, but I would also need some time for my husband... and I suddenly find myself almost regretting all my decisions. Maybe being a homemaker wasn't for me after all?

I do think the wedding ring check convo is funny because one of my sisters in laws literally did a ring check on my brother the first time she saw him because she thought he was so good looking but was worried he might be married because they were later twenties when they met and most of the people in her circle were married. Of corse asking would have been fine but I thought it was so adorable she liked him from afar but wanted to know ahead of time so she didn’t get her hopes up.

I can understand the person who said about not wanting to be a housewife/mom. I used to have a strong opinion on that and whenever a friend would express wanting kids I would literally be like "why would you want that". I thought I needed worldly success like I was being sold. Granted this was before I was saved again. I don't know where that person may be on their walk. BUT I will say once I got pregnant and had my daughter that all changed. When I first found out I was pregnant I literally had an existential crisis. But now I have such a whole new perspective. So that being said; I would encourage someone to not put all their eggs into that basket and close themselves off from the potential. It's been such a blessing to have my husband, be a sahm, and have my daughter. Again no judgement but hopefully a helpful thought.

It creeps me out when i find out that me and Jayna are alike when it comes to earrings, thrift stores, and homeschooling. I do have a 12 year old daughter that goes to christian school and i already thought if shes asking for earrings i will allow her to get them. I wasnt allowed to have them as a kid because it was a sin but me personally i dont think its a sin to wear earrings or any jewelry. And i also like jersey mikes and dont like to share it or be interrupted while i eat it:)

Greetings from the HOT middle of Nebraska! We are at 102° today! I would love it if you girls would bring your mothers onto the podcast for a Q & A. Evidently they raised two very well versed girls into womanhood and how did they do it!! You both are so enjoyable to listen to and hear your perspective on life. I am a grandmother now with 2 granddaughters and soon to be 5 grandsons. I want to have a strong relationship with each of them. We only see them about once a month as we are 4 hours away from them. We talk often and facetime. We have been very intentional on spending time with them. A topic for your mothers or for yourselves would be how to be good grandparents and have an impact on our grandchildren. I sure do love you girls!! Thank you for the video and enjoy your time away!!

What a neat idea! I am a teacher and often tell my students that I want to be a grandma when I grow up! I was blessed with an amazing mom who passed away before I married and she would have LOVED to be a wonderful grandma! Giving us a glimpse in what we can do now to foster relationships to be a close grandparent would be a wonderful topic (if your mamas are willing to speak truth and love to a few 😉 close friends!) Smiles, Abby Smith

Im 40 i tried to have kids the first 8 years of my marriage and didnt succeed. I prayed if it wasnt Gods will for me to have kids to make me not want kids and boy did he. Married 21 years with 6 nephews. I love them like my own and spoil them tons but i do not want my own. I need days to recharge and do not do well with screaming or loud cries. God knew what i needed. Nephews i can adore and send home😂 if i did have my own i know id be a great loving mom but id have too much guilt when i mess up and just not be my best self. My best self has a 2 hour limit with kids lol

I don't want to be a homemaker or ever get married. But that does not mean I don't want to serve people. I'm in law school, and it's my passion to help help those in the adoption and foster care system since I was an adoptee myself. I really don't agree with the traditional wife lifestyle, But since i'm going to be a lawyer, I have to be able to listen to points of view that I don't agree with and still find common ground. Sometimes it's hard with these videos. But I think these ladies are lovely. Thanks for sharing your life

Megan- you have mentioned watching KZfaq videos in the shower in the past. Do you have a case or something you are putting your phone in so it doesn’t get wet or fall in the shower? I have wondered about that in the past, but have forgotten to ask…

I have wondered the same thing! And how to do you hear the audio? Each to their own but seems a bit odd to do this. Maybe sitting in a hot bath would make more sense.

Catholics wear wedding rings because they are sacramentals -- a blessed, holy object that reminds us of the Sacrament of Matrimony and our duty to respond to the graces of the Sacrament. So, it has a much greater purpose than identifying who is married.

New here. I'm curious about how you came to name your podcast. I thought it was a typo, Honey I'm Homemaker instead of Honey I'm a Homemaker, and the use of Honey. I'm sincerely curious. 😊

Usually one would announce at the door "honey, I"m home "....then add the maker❤

@@SD-qu8vp That makes no sense. I'm wondering why the name of the Podcast is worded like that. "Honey I'm Homemaker" . That's all.

I don't think the males have to do just 'the bare minimum'. I definitely don't find grey hair on males good-looking or distinguished 😅 it's a sign of old age and that's not necessarily something that attracts me.
