In Minecraft 1.18 the Mountains are getting completely overhauled. What if this overhaul went to the max? In today's video we take a look at what 500 block tall mountains could look like! This datapack also revamps the caves with the cave update caves and biomes as well as the nether!

@@Nightmare-xh5ri not for me, I am really excited for 1.18 but I feel like the caves underground won't feel as vanilla or classic anymore but I'm sure mojang will do something about this too, I'm glad mojang only raised the build height to 320 and lowered it down to -64 and didn't do something crazy like 512 build heighy

I hope they add a space update that's similar to Terraria's space. They should also add super deep oceans that become darker the deeper you are, and a volcano biome that has a dark sky when you're in the biome.

Wattles you can make a really cool looking ladder thing with pointed drip stone up from the ground You can jump up it one block at a time if it is less than five blocks tall. Looks pretty cool

I would love to have a datapack like this that increases world height and max terrain height for mountains! Maybe with some of the jank ironed out like the weird ocean and river generation combined with a datapack like William Wythers, this could be a really solid datapack to play until 1.18 comes out.

Also the giant snow caves are not here now. I was one of those kids who did not really like them because they took down the mountains and ruined them a bit. They were to big. How about make them more rare and a bit smaller. Even add ice stalactites in them.

This just made me imagine a Volcano Biome update. Where as it naturally spawns 1 in a few thousands of blocks, like a mushroom biome or something. It would have a big ass volcano in the middle of it and in some chances (very rarely) the volcano activates and does volcano things. Meaning settling near there would be very risky and you would only be there for rare resources such as new blocks or new mobs and their loots or something. also that nether waste biome on this pack, would be awesome if that would be the End Update that we've been craving from mojang. It would nerf the possibilities of you falling to the void if there are floating patches of lands below where you are as well and so as above! the possibilities are endless.

This makes me think again about how great the basalt delta fog and particles are with night vision and I wish that was a visual part of normal minecraft. I insisted I was going to make at least a small base there when 1.16 hit but instead I spent all of 1.16 being too afraid to nether. 😂 Also I need to see Ice Spikes in this pack lol.

Hey wattles, i would love to play about with a build height that high, I use world painter alot to make custom worllds and always find the build limit a bit restricting, still manage to make moountains look pretty thogh (would love to show you some time if your interested) personally I cant wait till 1.18 just for the new height limit so i can make super high mountain ranges and deep revenges, it will be so pretty when I can play about with that ^^

I would love this sort of mod to the base of minecraft.....I'd also like to see climbing gear.. ropes (made from maybe 3, 5 or 9 strings) would have a ton of uses: keeps you from falling more than like 20 blocks; would let you climb up if it's attached to some point overhead. anchor pins (made from a single ingot) that you can tie a rope and other things to. pulley...(a good use for the copper?) a pulley would let you raise and lower things - would allow making actual elevators,

I think ocean should be deeper, like an ocean can go to 0, and make some Deep points, like Mariana row, and make the world like continental, so when you stripminin in the ocean od deepslate level, even -128, you can mine into that place, and you know your continental ends there.
