What If Naruto Were In The Survey Corps?

The Attack on Titan series is one that is known for its deep plot, the way it tackles real world issues, and shows the never ending cycle of violence that eventually turns those of good heart into those who seemingly lack one. It is a show dedicated to losing your humanity, and sometimes, it forces us to question who the true villains are, and often times, it even causes us to question who or what a hero even is. On the reverse, Naruto, while similar in tone, is a series that shows us someone who tries their hardest not to lose their humanity. In a world that looks like it’s falling into the cycle of hatred that so many other characters fought to stop, only one person truly stands above it and attempts to fix it the right way. While Pain attempted to achieve peace through war, which itself is a valid way, and perhaps slightly longer-lasting than Naruto’s idealistic method, it is also true that he planned to become a devil just to fight other devils. And this is actually a theme very present in Attack on Titan. I could have just dropped Pain into the Survey Corps, but if I did, I’m half way certain he would just become Eren 2: The Sequel. Naruto on the other hand has a completely different view on the world, and I am just so eager to see what will become of him. And so we place him in a world so wrapped up in hatred that even Naruto might not be able to save it.
