This post is literally me. I’ve had an idea brewing in my head for years now about a standalone Halo story. So much so that I had entire characters and scenes written out in my free time. Then comes infinite’s highly disappointing story, and the 343 layoffs. It’s become quite apparent they will never make a proper spinoff, and frankly, I no longer trust them to do it right. Can I do much better? No idea, but I’ve got a good concept, reasonably fleshed out characters, a rough timeline, and the will to at least try. Worst case scenario, my really shitty script gets rejected by whoever I try to hire as animators or VA’s, and I go back to my normal life. Best case scenario. I get to make a dream come true and tell a story people want to see. As for the concept, it’s simple. Set in November 2552, it follows the Covenant attack on a inner colonial world that’s suddenly cut short by the great schism. Told from the POV’s of a lone Elite survivor and the remnants of a UNSC platoon, it follows their struggles as a harsh winter descends on the already war ravaged world. Food is in short supply, the Covenant loyalists are everywhere, and the cold is taking its toll. It’s a story where winning just means surviving long enough to escape the planet. I’m willing to share some details if anyone cares, but I’m not gonna type everything out if ya’ll don’t.

Good point! However it's something we worked on very hard to ensure his sacrifice still has meaning, despite surviving - its an elaborate theme that plays out in layers and has pay off

Now I understand where you are coming from, but the Cutscene from the end of Reach never showed that he died😅

@@jimbrown5172 It did in an artsy way. I get why people would hold onto hope but he definitely did. It is like saying Sirius isn't dead.

I mean at one point Bungie wasn’t sure if they wanted Noble 6 to be dead or not in fairness. So it might not have been the writer’s initial intentions, but instead to leave it open, but after a while Bungie did come out and say Noble 6 died

After this project I'm switching permanently to S2FM! (Which about 7 min of this project is used with, for face scenes)

Nah. Noble six sacrifice was a great way to end a character. He is dead to. Both 343 and Bungie confirmed it.
