I’ve been saying that Philippines should start their NATO version in ASIA to balance the power in the region. Includes Japan, S. Korean, India, Singapore, Vietnam, Australia, Cambodia , Taiwan. Those countries encircle China and as one unit, can easily monitor movements.

Honestly if nato got it’s act together and the two countrys aligned their ideologies more I could see them ignoring the North Atlantic part of their name and adding Allie’s in the pacific to the reigns. I would assume South Korea and Japan would be the ones who would join but I could also see the Philippines being a great nato ally.

Opening up the economy to foreign investment by removing restrictive policies and regulations will encourage economic growth and development, creating new industries and opportunities for Filipinos. This is especially important as the Philippines' current economy is heavily reliant on remittances from overseas workers and the outsourcing industry, which are not sustainable in the long term. However, the Philippines must also address its governance challenges, including corruption and inefficiency. Adopting a better government system, such as federalism and parliamentary governance, can help address these issues and promote more effective governance at the local and national levels. This will enable the country to promote balanced growth and address regional disparities, while also ensuring that government officials are held accountable for their actions. By taking steps to address its economic and governance challenges, the Philippines can become a more reliable partner to the United States and other allies, contributing to collective defense efforts and strengthening regional security. This includes investing in its military and adopting modern technologies and strategies to respond to emerging threats. Ultimately, the success of the alliance between the United States and the Philippines will depend on the willingness of both nations to work together towards shared goals and values.

I think that the United States and the Philippines have always had a good relationship with each other. We were colonized by the Americans and we have their culture in our traditions even up to this day, and I think we are very welcoming with the Americans, and I don’t see any problem with that at all.

By the time the Americans showed up Manilla was the last stronghold left under spainish control. Then they kept the Filipino ambassador from the peace negotiates which transferred the Philippines from spainish to american possessions which the first phillipine Republic then also declared war again to be free of the Americans😅
