Honestly surprised hoenn never had a grass gym or breloom wasn't the ace in the fighting gym. So many good grass Pokemon this gen and it would have balanced the game around swampert better as well. Give him a harder time somewhat.

Oooo I can see it that Cara and Cam still pop up across the region at important plot points, and they have one pokemon that's super effective against your starter showing that they have been keeping tabs on you and are out to give you a challenge.

Gym badge names:- 1. Dart badge,cuz well throwing poisonous darts 2. Antennae badge,his team has antennae, or some lookalikes 3. Spring badge,smells like spring's here 4. Scorch badge,his mons can fight in scorching heat 5. Storm badge,not the fighting one,that's a crap name for fighting gym badge 6. Immortal badge,cuz well you know how shedinja never loses hp,right? 7. Lens badge,they literally have cameras all around 8. Vision badge,as he could predict that you were coming

For the Grass type leader, you have four Hoenn natives right there to replace Gloom (whom is already associated not only in a Kanto Grass gym, but also by a gym leader whom has a relevance to grass scents.) Those other four Hoenn mons available are the lines of Cacnea, Lotad, Shoomish and Seedot.
