This started as a joke on my Twitter earlier this year, where I made Raditz a biker just because. I made more art for it, and then a loose script and now... an actual what if scenario. It's a concept that's been covered plenty of times before, but now it's time for my interpretation. What would happen if Raditz miraculously survived Piccolo and Goku's defense? I particularly liked this version of Vegeta's redemption. He sought only power and superiority, to the point where he had it all. But attained the good he never directly sought out, but saw in others.

Yes, I thought about that during the first hour and a half. Goku trends to forgive people with relative ease. I think that in this scenario Radditz would be forgotten during the timeskip between the saiyan battle and the travel to Namek.

As legendary as MasakoX's version of this is, I have to admit, in my opinion, this has to be the best rendition of this what if I've watched to this day, and I've watched countless what ifs by you, him, and others, and there has been several versions of this what if concept, and despite MasakoX's reigning supreme in my mind all this time, I have to say, yours was the better, a little if not quite a impressive margin, considering, as previously stated, how legendary his was

I do think if Radditz did live, it would have brought their levels so much higher and faster then originally even with Vegeta as their ally later on. The 3 of them would be pushing each other harder and harder. Sibling rivalry would be a very serious culprit for significant gain!

Fr, I always hated how in cannon DBZ Radditz just got forgotten. Literally Goku's brother, there was so much potential. I'm at least glad this video got made. It was incredible, but i can only dream of how awesome it would be to see this animated, hell, even drawn in Manga form.

Let's be honest with each other here, they were ACTIVELY nerfed. There isn't a reason for Gohan not training with Goku and Whis from time to time, or even HTC training. No reason for the Z fighters to get absolutely shreked in terms of character, power or even relevance(They're basically just special spectators with plot armor cranked to the max)

This gave me kind of an odd idea: What if Chi-Chi got back into fighting? This would start within the time skip between the Buu Saga and Battle of Gods. Feeling nostalgic about her encounter with Goku in the 23rd World Tournament, as well as seeing Gohan and Goten more focused on fighting, Chi-Chi gets the idea to seek out the Dragon Balls in order to restore her youth, and getting Bulma involved would have her want the same wish as well; wish is granted, Chi-Chi gets back into fighting, and since Goku failed to get Bulma to give Elder Kai a kiss, she promptly does so on the condition that he unlock her potential as well, just so she can (at least try to) keep up with the Saiyans. I like the idea of Beast Chi-Chi, so that's why I thought of this.

The problem is that we don’t know what “Beast” is a part of. It could be due to the unique Rage state that Gohan has (and if so, could Broly unlock such a state. Are the anger abilities different?) or is it just a form unique to Saiyan Physiology? Could it be a form similar to Ultra Instinct where it is also a Technique, meaning that you can learn to achieve such a form, maybe from the Kai (due to the similar design motifs) We don’t know enough about Beast to say that Chi Chi, or really anyone other than Gohan can unlock it.

@@barstool9156 It is rather theoretical at this point, since Akira Toriyama can't be arsed to give us enough details; although the dialogue from Piccolo in XV2 suggests that anyone can get the form, as the humans that trained under Kami before Vegeta and Nappa arrived on Earth could have had access to the form at some point; it's likely that their power levels weren't high enough to unlock it just yet.

honestly if I could switch out Vegeta for Raditz in DBZ I probably would, just to see how things would play out, I mean, it makes way more sense than Vegeta living honestly, considering he's literally Goku's brother, and only living Saiyan blood-relative, while Vegeta IS an amazing character, I think with more development beyond "Big scary villain" Raditz could be even better.

I have a really weird What If... What If when Goku was dropped on his head, he was more disciplined, more calm. So instead of that happy go lucky Goku we know, he was instead more calm and collected, deciding to learn more techniques and inner peace. Either that or What If the Red Ribbon Army was Good.
