There are a lot of ways she could have been better written, but unfortunately it's very rare for woman to surpass or even equal the men in shounen. If they do, it's not for long. Mostly regulated to support characters.

Completely disagree her character in part 1 is that she wasn't special, she didn't have any extraordinary talent that helped in combat she represents the average shinobi that doesn't have any bloodline or an innate strong genetics or a strong heritage, Lee and guy are also like this however Sakura in my opinion is better due to expanding to other fields besides taijutsu. Of course she did have some talent but not nearly enough as Sasuke or even Naruto

The only reason anyone else in the series is special is because they have an insane mentor (the sannin, kabuto, etc), they're a tailed beast bearer, or their're part of a stupid bloodline or at least benefit from one like Kakashi. Naruto and Sasuke are the only ones who stack bullshit on top of bullshit. Why? Because they're the MCs. Your literal explaination is basically saying Sakura was slapped in the face. She's like one of the least interesting takes on the non-naruto/sasuke ninjas but SHOULD have been just as over the top as them. Instead, she competes with dozens of other excellent and interesting shinobi. None of the main cast are "normal" ninjas, not one, and even then, we get plenty of normal ninjas too. Oh, and calling lee and guy "normal" shinobi makes me want to facepalm. We see clear examples of normal shinobi, they're chaff that die like flies and most of them have to use scrolls or tech to emulate higher level jutsu because they're just not strong. The entire show is about special shinobi and as literally one of the poster children of the show sakura is the ONLY ONE who was done dirty by the end, and it makes zero sense.

Not hard to make Sakura more interesting when she was bar far one of the most wasted characters. Like, it's hard to take her seriously at any level. Even as one of the sage inheritors, her power development is multiverses behind Sasuke (snake inheritor + top end Uchiha scion) and naruto (frog inheritor + Uzumaki scion) who use their bloodline + training to ascend to ridiculous heights while Sakura... is a slightly better medical ninja at extreme cost to herself? Then people say weeeeeeell she got super strength and I just slap them. Her stupid super strength is slow and highly limited while both naruto and sasuke have been shown to have ridiculous damage potential a thousand different ways and have just as many ways to deliver it safely and quickly. What's the point of super strength with normal human-speed delivery when dude can trap you in an eternal nightmare or fucking teleport behind you and rend your soul, or go sage mode and do all kinds of bullshit. Realistically look at Sakura and comparing her to the rest of the cast, she truly is a useless character with very little agency or purpose, and even does a bad job as a throwaway love interest. Almost anything she acomplishes of worth the plot either dollaps on her lap because it remembers she exists for a moment or is something a dozen other people could have done had the plot cared enough. I mean, this is typically how women are treated in shounen so it's not really much of a surprise that she's so drastically removed from the rest of her top-tier team (Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi ), but god damn does it hurt seeing all the missed potential.

I don't like this story because the ending is inaccurate. In this universe, Kaguya should win. Sakura was only able to land the punch on Kaguya because Kaguya did not acknowledge her as anyone or see her as anything resembling a threat. Kaguya quite literally forgot Sakura existed. If Sakura has the power of a Bijuu then there is no way Kaguya is going to ignore her. Kaguya will see her as a threat and as such, avoid her punch. Kaguya kills everyone in this, Sakura **needs** to be useless for a happy ending to occur.

They lived in a village with the clan that was best at sealing... no real extra explaination was really needed. It also would have made more sense for the actions that led to Naruto's situation being the result of two rampaging tailed beasts, which forced his parents to each sacrifice themselves in order to seal them--one in naruto, one in sakura. This would have given naruto and sakura a connection from the start and given them a reason to know each other, maybe even explain Narutos infatuation with her (the only person he would have a connection with) and her annoyance with him (she sees him as a symbol/reminder of their loss and how they were treated by the village at times, plus maybe she sees him more brotherly), which would have made the whole love triangle less awkward since it was kind of hella-obvious where that was going and everyone was already rooting for Hinata from the start. That would have also led very smoothly into them joining Sasuke who was not only the last known uchiha but also eventually becomes the snake sage inheritor, cleanly reforming the Sannin long before we would have ever realized it. As it stands, Sakura becoming Tsunade's pupil was kind of shoved in, and the two didn't have anywhere near the kind of complicated connection, negative or positive, that Sasuke and naruto had with their respective Sannin "mentors."

Folk struggled with her place in the anime. Characters like the rest of the teams get their moments and then quietly make way for the real MCs. Sakura is like that Salt Bae dude who keeps stealing other people's spotlights while not really deserving it outside of a few instances the plot let her shine. She really should be on Naruto and Sasuke's level and there should be no question they're equal, but nope. We can say Sasuke vs Naruto would be an interesting fight and they've had back and forths forever, but Naruto almost accidentily kills Sakura without even trying lol.

And the thing is there are characters way worse than her and ppl don't hate on em she's even more hated than danzo and that mask guy the fact that ppl love Sasuke and Hinata more than her just shows that Naruto fans like characters that look attractive and have good bodies and some of the hate on sakura just to fit in they don't even watch the anime but go on shorts and find ways to hate my fcking brother turned into one of those doofus

Kishi did give her something special, Incredible healing abilities, Team 7 is your usual group, we have the striker, (Naruto), the powerful family trait person (Sasuke), and the Healer, (Sakura) all are important in a group, but people dislike Sakura because of her annoying personality towards Naruto, especially in the OG Shonen Jumps Naruto, and this storyline is good and all, but having two people with tailed beasts inside them would be kinda repetitive, and having one person with a tailed beast is more interesting because you get diversity, Sasuke is the one with the dead family and cool power, Naruto is the one with the surprising tricks and powers, and Sakura is the normal one with great healing abilities and smartness

The art of show dont tell, if kishimotos intent was that naruto would be revived just from getting six paths he wouldnt have showed us sakura pumping narutos heart, him showing us that was smart as it doesnt removed any tension the show had before hand, naruto cant die just to get 6 paths in part 1 or 2

@@joemomma7500 she barely had any, she was born from fodder, trash, completely ordinary ninja, she didn't have the genetics, heritage or talent like Naruto or Sasuke or kakashi, she succeeded her potential and a stage ahead of that. In Boruto she's stronger than Hashirama, tobirama and even prime hiruzen, she's stronger than Gaara, and any current kage (expect Naruto of course), the only thing I thinks she should have gotten was slug sage mode, that'd be fantastic. Also you can say the same thing for literally any other character, Shikamaru could focus on other areas of jutsu beside his kekkei genkai yet doesn't, putting him at a disadvantage in every battle that knows his ability. Kiba could focus on other jutus the same as Shikamaru, as well as ino and Choji. Neji and Hinata could have learned dozens of jutsu's that helped them in battle which perfectly worked with there Bakugan but just decided not too for some reason, Tsunade training was available yet didn't see ino, Hinata, shino there (in canon), imagine if shino found a way to heal people through his bugs with Tsunade's help, top tier, instead he didn't develop any skills outside his bloodline. Same could be said with might guy, why didn't he learn turtle sage mode, he'd be top tier if he did that.

@@youtubeenigma8316 this is something I tuned out on. I struggled to get past the logical fallacy of Rin using Reaper Death seal. But yea Sakura made a whole statement outloud if I remember correctly “Don’t forget I’m here, we’re both women” or something to that degree. Kaguya was predominately worried about Naruto and Sasuke… right after she launched Sakura off into the distance. Kakashi had to pull out Susano to catch Sakura. Kaguya clearly didn’t give one iota of a crap about Sakura after that. She hardly paid Kakashi any mind, but had to because of Kamui. So yea if Sakura was Bijuu powered; Kaguya would have dodged away from Naruto and Sasuke any direction than straight towards Sakura.

Mind if I ask, what you think would be a more believable method for the three tails to get sealed into Sakura? Maybe the 3rd Hokage can play a part or something?

@@SheerrCold that’s a complicated question… because by no right should the 3 tails even been close enough to even become the 3tails host. I think it would have been much more likely she got the 6 tails. It probably would have been due to Danzo doing some shady stuff.

That's the cosmic issue with her. An average run of the mill shinobi girl reaching the heights of gods is always something amazing but can see really? The story has always made genetics important even a weakness can be turned into a strength but she doesn't have that really. Just great strength and healing. Yet watching the show I see it there but yet I wonder how to tap into it?
