Solution: mass produce the device that was used to attempt to visually see SCP-096 through heat signatures rather than direct vision. In the split second it takes for it to turn on they would have visual contact with SCP-3000 but not long enough for any detrimental mental health issues to occur. From there, it shouldn’t be too difficult to take the monster out

Technically there is a way to get around the cognito hazard on a Warship. There is an interior bridge that has all the main controls of the primary bridge, only this is located within the hull. Operators rely on sonar and radar. As a ships weapons are automated, the crew in this section would have full control of weapons and the helm. The sheer size of the SCP would make it virtually impossible to miss.

There are some situations where SCP 096 just can't. Like SCP 173 vs SCP 096, 173 just snaps 096's neck constantly over and over leading to SCP 096 being forced to run away. So 096 would probably just go apeshit and cry.

It's not contained in the first place so it can't escape, they found it in one spot and it doesn't move at all apart from turning its head to look at something close enough to it. Because of its great length it's impossible for it to move anywhere as it has its entire body wrapped around various structures all over the Bengal. It could never surface itself for it to be a problem.

To be honest, isn't all of the weapons systems located within a ship? Within CIC. Therefore all they would be seeing is dots on a screen and therefore, even if the rest of the crew are gone, the people within the CIC can still unleash the ships payload onto SCP-3000.
