Imagine this is the universe that brings the Green Goblin into the MCU

I like how there is no music after peter dies, there is only goblin's maniacal laugh, sounds of wind, crikets chirping

A genuinely disturbing twist on the already brutal ending of the classic, the lack of theme music in the credits, replaced with the stillness and ambience of the air as Peter's body is left to rot by the Goblin is probably the best touch of this whole alternative ending. Imagine sitting down one cold winter's night to rewatch the much loved Sam Raimi Classic, only for this ending to play out unexpectedly - The lights out and the air dead, sending an unnerved shiver down the viewer's spine as they ponder what sort of twisted prank was being played on them - Would've given me the worst nightmares as a kid.

"I had a father, his name was ben parker" The way that was his lasts words makes me want to cry

This should’ve been a fail quicktime event in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man video-game.

The best path to take in the sequel is for Harry to discover that Peter Parker was Spider-Man and find out that it was Norman Osborn who killed him. So Harry would have a desire for revenge and maybe he will use a spider suit, in honor of his best friend.

This ACTUALLY looks like something that was directed by Sam Raimi now.

The silence... the maniacal laughter... the crickets... no music as the credits roll... this is more painful than Thanos's snap alone, or with Tom Holland's death combined. I felt this more than I should've. It's like a piece of my childhood was taken away from me. Damn...

Green Goblin : kills spiderman Bully Maguire : You get to kill me when you fix this damn door !!

"Let's find some new people to play with shall we?" In the next 20 seconds the Goblin proceeds to walk off screen as the camera just lingers, leaving the building on foot. We hear his footsteps trailing off. Eventually we hear the footsteps growing louder again, and the Goblin arrives back on screen. "I should probably get my glider first, though."

Knowing what Marvel is like, this could see past in an alternate universe, man it gives me chills just thinking about it ...

If Peter Dies Then Docter Octopus Would Of Destroy The World Creating The Sun. So Green Gobiln Wasn't The Biggest Threat Until That Even.

Imagine showing somebody who's never watched Spider-Man the film but with this ending.

Theory: After Peter died Harry would decide to take up the mantle of spider-man (probably with some advanced tech or whatever), swearing he would make goblin pay for what he did to his best friend.

Mr. Osborn: *Gonna cry?*

"Let's find some new people to play with" Venom standing behind him: funny i was about to say the same thing.

If this was the ending of the movie, my childhood would've been scarred for life

The original scene actually begs the question; did Norman intend to kill himself along with Spider-Man, or did the shock of seeing Spider-Man dodge his glider freeze him last second? Surely he would’ve been able to dodge it if he planned to launch the glider at Peter at full speed.

What if Willem Dafoe played joker?

_"But the one thing they love more than a hero is to see a hero fail, fall, die trying..."_ -Green Goblin Watching this what if scenario really proves that statement true because this was excellently done. Great job! 0:48 That close up shot of his eye looks so realistic to me it’s amazing how far technology has come. If that frame were taken out of context I would have been convinced it was real. I also like to think the shot kind of goes back to the shot where the bomb detonation is reflected on his eye. 0:57 and 1:02 The way he's smiling as he watches and revels at Peter taking his last dying breaths is just so sinister and befitting. 1:23 That cackle is so glorious whenever Willem Dafoe does it. I also found out that line about “finding someone new to play with” comes from the movie game which I never played so it was cool to hear a line from him that I never heard before. I guess the only thing that can be improved is that the audio where Norman gets stabbed is still used here for Peter instead so I think with just that being replaced it would be even better. Also, the scream at 0:48 has been memed so much (like in YTP’s) I can’t take it that seriously hearing it used here but what other scream could you have used, am I right?

The AfterMath: Harry: ... Goblin: The Wall Crawling Bug Is Elimi- **Gets stabbed in the chest** AGGHHHHH Harry: Gonna Die? Goblin: i... **Takes off mask** Harry: fa... father?... Norman: you knew this day would come, im sorry harry **glider launches at harry** **harry ducks under and stabs the glider** Harry: You tried to kill your own son! Norman: Mj too. Harry: You wont take any other lives. Norman: Son, im sorry but i will kill every- **harry throws a goblin bomb** **Norman explodes into a knife and gets stabbed** Norman: ... Aghhhhhh... **dies**

If Peter didn't dodge it then both will be dead since Norman won't be able to move fast enough to be able to get away from the glider.

Jesus Christ that took a turn. Watching my childhood hero die like that felt like a little part of me died with him

you now what is the most disturbing part? that this could possibly be canon in some alternative reality.

It's like, trying to get the best ending on a game, but you fail the final QTE (the one that'll decide the ending of it) However, this is darker than i expected, i didn't expect the animation to be good and the ending credits to be that scary

Norman kills Peter which mean Harry would go against his dad to get revenge (If Doc Ock's sun wouldn't blow them before that)

I was expecting Peter to say something like "I'm sorry Uncle Ben" but instead *P L O P*

Love how he waits for him to croak before walking away breaking villain stereotypes

It gave me chills and a feeling of dread seeing this alternate ending .... Really an amazing job

I have a feeling Maguire's Spider-Man might die at the end of Spider-man 3 (heroic sacrifice) and Miles should replace him, just as long as he's not from the Rami verse it'd be a cop out. If Miles is in Spider-man 3 I think he should be from either the Garfield's Spider-Man universe or the MCU.

This honestly looks incredible, took a second to realize it wasn't an actual deleted scene

This would make a great beginning for Spider-Man Homeworlds.

What a nice scene recreated, but you also just showed how simple it would have been for the green goblin to take off and dodge his glider.

If you remember what the Goblin said before this scene "MJ and I, are gonna have a hell of a time" it gets even worse.

This is a dark and scary thought that with these credits, implies that Norman just leaves Peter's corpse there all night.

Tom Holland spiderman would have died because his peter tingle is terrible

"Let's find some new people to play with, shall we?" Reminds of one of the Joker's exclusive quotes.

In this universe the daily bugle cheers at the death of Spider-Man and calls green goblin a hero. Green goblin does an interview and claims he saved the city and that Spider-Man was the cause of all the chaos. At the end of the interview he removes his mask and the world is shocked that it was oscorp. Harry gets mad over the reveal and finds out that oscorp has taken the body of Spider-Man to do an autopsy. He finds out about the spider and remembers that a missing spider could be responsible for Peter becoming the Spider-Man . He steals the genetic code for the spider and begins recreating the spider. In order to boost his strength he modified the green goblin serum and mixes it with the spider venom and becomes the “Green-Spider”. Meanwhile oscorp, now head of his company finds out about his sons experiments and becomes furious. He breaks into his sons lab and finds out that doc oc had helped him with his creation and kidnaps him. Doc oc is used in tandem to create octopus arms and attach them to the oscorp who is now the green goblin with octopus arms. Meanwhile the green spider begins saving people and like Peter is presented as a villian by the daily bugle. The green spider kidnapped James and begins torturing him. You see the green spider is affected by the green goblin serum and he begins switching from good and evil. Before killing James he realizes this negative effect and swings off to find a cure and hopefully give it to his father before any more harm comes to the people. Harry befriends aunt may and she states that she hates Peter. She says that his villainy hurt so many people and she wishes she was there for him and misses him. Harry is then attacked by the upgraded green goblin who nearly kills him. He notices aunt may crying in a closet and snaps her neck laughing. Harry escapes and goes into hiding for a long time, discarding the green spider suit in hopes of escaping that life and finding a cure for himself and his father. Meanwhile oscorp decides to run for president with his new found fame and begins to kidnap his enemies and secretly going into the city to kill innocent civilians. In thirst for more power he finds out that a small meteor has been found in space and sends out his satieties to retrieve the mysterious object. After it is retrieved he finds the symbiotic life form that will eventually turn him into the dark goblin. He becomes obsessed with rage and power and begins burning New York down to the ground In an attempt to bring his son out. Meanwhile the green spider, with a full beard and scarred body finds a cure to fix his father, but realizes that there is no way to fix what his father has now become. He finds doc oc as a prisoner in oscorp and frees him in a new green spider suit that he made. Doc oc, claims that he built a safeguard in the octopus arms and that if green spider disabled it he could possibly kill his father. Doc oc shows Harry his new secret arms that are made from unubtanium and promises to help Harry to destroy Osborn once and for all. After a long drawn out battle Doc oc is killed and dark goblin is left nearly dead. Harry injects the serum into his father and successfully eradicated the symbiotic organism. Unfortunately because the green goblin fully replaced Osborn he too is dying. Before dying he tells Harry that Peter Parker didn’t die, and that oscorp had revived Spider-Man secretly and that he was still alive. Osborn laughs and says that Spider-Man had lived and had secretly joined sides with the green goblin and had been helping him with making the spider venom more potent and stronger than before. He says that he loved Peter more than him and that his son was a disgrace to everything he built. Harry done the green spider suit and goes to oscorp to find Peter park now older and wise sitting at the head of the company. Harry is shocked and asks why he joined the green goblin. Peter laughs and shoots acidic webbing at Harry, melting his green spider suit and burning harry. “Nice suit” says Peter as he laughs and shoots webbing over harrys face. As Harry is choking he wipes the webbing off along with parts of his face. Harry in a rage begins fighting Peter Parker and successfully stops his attacks. Peter Parker, nearly dead begs for his life and says that after he ordered his aunt to be killed he saddened by the betrayal of Harry. He hoped Harry would join his side and understand why he joined the goblin. The green spider puts his mask on and says he will continue the legacy of Spider-Man and kills peter

How spider man homeworlds would start off until they would revive him to fight the sinister six

I am interested in knowing what the consequences are for NY now that the Green Goblin wanders without anyone to stop him.

So some people thinking why spider-sense didn't work, actually it worked that's why he turned back he just didn't react as the same way by jumping. He may have reacted like this cause' he was looking what threat behind is approaching him while in the movie he may have assumed that threat is glider so that's why he jumped. A single different thought can change everything.
