This story kind of reminded me of an idea I’ve had for a while. What if the Caminoans never got the inhibitor chips to work and so never implanted them in the Clone Army. Not only would they never tell anyone about this but they’d make the various orders part of the Clones training. This would make following Order 66 a conscious choice and made the Clones decide where their loyalties truly lie. Also it would be interesting to see if the Clones would inform the Jedi or just assume that they already knew about the various Executive Orders

that is basically sw legends. The clones were thaught the constigancy orders, and most of them volentarily did order 66 minus some small groups like the ion squad clone commandos. And the jedi already knew about both order 66 and order 65. The jedi themselves used order 37 which would round up civie pops and threaten theri lives if they wouldnt hand over a specific target.

In the original expanded universe that's how it was done. The clones followed the orders by choice most of them did because they knew that the alternative for the jedi was worse.

I will never get why they phased out clone with inhibitor chips forcing them to carry out orders for just a regular army of men who can be disobedient aren't as strong or tacticaly inclined as the clones if anything they should have doubled down on clones but give then beefier inhibitor chips that force them to do anything and everything they arr orderd to do with no free will of there own

An idea I had for this was that by recruiting regular citizens, millions and billions of citizens and their families be supportive of the empire, as now they have loved ones serving within it. It gave the empire more loyalty from the citizens of the empire by having them serve within it. Also in lore many stormtroopers sent the money they earned back to their families. Many found the new empire as an opportunity to make their way in the galaxy, but they also found themselves and their families dependent on it

In Bad Batch’s first episode, Tarkin said that the clones were expensive. More eloquently than that but that was essentially his stated reason (among others maybe, I don’t remember).

Clone related: What if the 212th did not try to kill Kenobi and instead took him away from the war when Order 66 was executed? What if the Kaminoins survived the purge and joined the rebellion, making the rebels a clone army?

Let's be honest the rebellion is done for, brave and very competent soldiers who basically are essentially fearless! Tho if the rebellion starts using the cis droids, overwhelming numbers, this could get interesting, another even bloodier clone wars. What if Darth Zannah was a Jedi? Either she refrains from killing the Jedi who originally comes for her, or another Jedi takes her instead soon after, assuming Bane doesn't find her or a twin of some kind exists. She undergoes training until she becomes a Jedi Knight or perhaps even a Jedi Master. Then, she receives one of two visions. The first vision portrays Anakin or Luke as the chosen one. She believes in the prophecy and enters stasis, intending to train them to confront Palpatine during the Clone Wars or the time of the Empire. The second vision involves Palpatine himself, maybe as the Emperor. Believing that she is the chosen one due to this, she enters stasis until the Clone Wars, awakened by the Force or some other catalyst. To fight him herself. To maintain her characterization as the Zannah we know and love, she excels as a master of Form Three and is proficient in Jedi Alchemy or sorcery, perhaps even both. I think the second vision would make for a better story, as training Anakin/Luke videos are already abundant on your channel. (Day 39)

This is the first story I am sad to hear: as Omega dead from experimental treatments is horribly wrong. Day 31 of my list. What if; Anakin never gave into his feelings for Padme, Aayla Secura was the chosen one and became Darth Talon, Shme Skywalker was adopted by the Tusken Raiders, Boba Fett saved his Tusken family, Count Dooku was a regular count for the CIS, Jabba the Hutt supported the Jedi at the Start of the Clone Wars, and finally, what if Sabine and Ezra fell in love?

Imo the ideal situation is a vast army of normal humans used to keep order as garrison forces ala the imperial army, and a smaller but highly mobile and elite clone stormtrooper forces for rapid response to "hot zones".

Sidious was afraid that future enemies would learn about the inhibitor chips and figure out how to hack them and turn the clones against Sidious and the empire. Plus Sidious needed a shit ton of soldiers to bring the entire galaxy to its knees. And Kamino could only make so many clones plus they age fast. So they wouldn’t be as useful and last as long unlike normal aging stormtroopers.

Intriguing story one that's also very thought provoking. By the way are you going to a lightside version of this story. I've got a few ideas but I'm more than OK with whatever you decide to write. Here are some of my rambling thoughts. Perhaps since you didn't mention her in your what if you could possibly use ahsoka tano. Maybe ahsoka could use force projection. Possibly the world between worlds might be able connect to the darkside cave on dagobah. Allowing ahsoka to send a force projection of herself back through time. Thus Contacting with grandmaster yoda while he was in the darkside cave on dagobah during the clone wars. It's Of course highly probabl that ahsoka dies because of the extreme strain on her soul, spirit and body. However it might be possible for Qui-gon Jinn's force ghost to help ahsoka to become a force ghost herself if somewhat unlikely. Some of these I would make on AO3 but I don’t know how I am doing 1, 2 and 4 and I plan to do 15

Title Idea for iT What if general Grevious Could Mimic the Force What If General Grevious had Upgrades that Mimicked some powers of the force. Amazing story. Though one thing I would've maybe changed is that Vader would not have been so stupid as to try to 1v1 Palpatine. I think a better way for it to have played out was that Vader actually orchestrates the rebellion of the G1 clones with help from the likes of Rex by secretly disabling their inhibitor chips as happened in the story. They attack Palpatine at a military rally on some planet in which Vader and the G1 clones, using surprise and experience, easily decimates the other loyalist clones. They also take over several star destroyers in a massive coordinated mutiny to control the orbital space so as to prevent anyone from escaping the planet and block any reinforcements from coming in. Palpatine and his remaining loyalists are backed into a corner facing down Vader and the entire G1 clone army. Palpatine, in a hail Mary, sends all of his remaining loyalists, including squad 17 and the imperial guards, to fight to the last man while he gathers all of the dark side into himself. Just as Vader cuts down the last of the loyalists, Palpatine unleashes a force storm that wipes out the entire G1 army and all the ships in orbit, both friendly and enemy, as well as scorching half the planet's surface. Palpatine, now severely weakened from the strain of the attack, collapses in exhaustion. But he is struck with fear for the first time in years as he sees a heavily damaged but still determined Vader emerging from the ashes and marching towards him lightsaber in hand. Palpatine musters everything he has left in him into a final torrent of force lightning towards Vader. Vader, not even trying to deflect it, just walks through the lightning towards his master, managing to get close enough to cut him cross the face and chest, slicing off Palpatine's jaw. But right then and there, his heart finally gave out from the lightning, and Vader collapses lifelessly on the ground besides his master who is writhing in pain.

I love it when Palpatine wins. What if Steela Gerrera survived? What if Tarkin Destroyed Lothal instead of Alderaan? What if Hondo discovered Ezra before the ghost crew? (Pirate Jedi!) What if Ezra's parents, or at least his father, was sent to the Narkina 5 Imperial Prison Complex? What if Anakin helped Obi Wan save Satine? What if General Kalani joined the rebels? What If R2-D2 failed and the Rhydonium bomb went off on time? What if Satine wasn't a pacifists? (Martial state?) What if Palpatine lost his connection to the force? (When trying to turn Yoda, the force would push back.) What if Ezra joined the empire? (Like the what if Luke joined the empire.) What If Ezra accepted Palpatine's "gift" and went to his parents. What if some rebel soldier pleeb killed Vader? (Ever seen that fanart of a shocked rebel on the ground looking at vader's decapitated head while being surrounded by storm troopers. Just shocked that he actually killed Vader with his own light saber.) What if Palpatine really did love democracy? What if Dooku owned a tusken rifle for home defense? (Three jedi ruffians break into his home.) What if Pente Patrol Star Wars was the Jedi's PR manager? What if Star Wars was in Earth? What if Cham Syndulla was made Senator? (Instead of trying to get rid of Cham Syndulla, the empire gets rid of Orn Free Taa and makes Syndulla the senate leader. Using his popularity with his people to control the population and the semi unspoken threat that his daughter could be considered an accomplice to Gobi Glie's vile act of murdering Orn Free Taa if he didn't.) What if Imperial Bio-weapons project I71A was run by dr Nuvo Vindi on Lothal? What if Sabine Wren stayed with the Empire? What if Haji fired on the escape pod? What if Obi-Wan used force heal on Padme? What if Captian Tarkin died at the citadel? What if Asajj Ventress and the Nightsisters successfully assassinated Dooku? What if Anakin was born a women? Kendall Skywalker.

I feel Vader, as his job as an Enforcer would definitely prefer clones over the enlisted. Seeing as he went on more military/counter-insurgency style missions, he would prefer highly skilled & actually competent men

The main reason why the Empire decided to use regular soldiers instead of the clones is the cost. Growing a clone is unimaginably more expensive than recruiting and training a regular human.

WHAT IF: a good chunk (lets say 1/4 to 1/3) of the jedi joined Dooku and the separatist in the early stages of the war. Dooku wasn't a full blown sith and he (and the CIS) did have valid political reasons for fighting against the republic. In attack of the clones he tried to get Obi-Wan to join. What if he sent a galaxy wide recording explaining why he's fighting against the republic and a lot of disgruntled/CIS sympathiziers joined Dooku. Unintentionally forming an opposing "jedi order" that fought for the separatists.

What if anakin was piloting before attack of the clones and sensed ventress fall to the darkside as her master died and took his ship to the planet to investigate. Perhaps starting a romance as they are very similar in their stories. Also what if ahsoka taught ben skywalker as she saw him as history repeating itself. What if anakin was a jedi watchmen or wayfinder. What if anakin went with kenobi to face maul and savage instead of adi gallia. What if anakin fell in love with luminara or your own version of aayla secura romance. What if oppo rancis trained anakin. What if anakin met and fell in love with ventress just before the clone wars just after her masters death. What if anakin became a jedi sentinel like a watchmen or one of those who find younglings. What if evan piel became a mentor or second master to anakin. Or anakin became a healer either before or after his mother death could be related to his friendship with offee or alternatively what if he was trained by tra sa who taught windu and actually did not forbid attachment as shown by her relationship with tholme , they could become like a pseudo parents to anakin and train him away from the temple in azati martial arts and from trasa the living force as she is a plant lady so imagine anakin controlling plant life.

In universe, Palpatine phasing out clones is the *dumbest* and most asinine decision he ever made as Emperor. In real life, George should have retconned that stormtroopers had always been clones of Jango Fett, all throughout the Empire's reign. But that's just my opinion. Commander Cody said it best: "Since the Empire has redirected the clone trooper program to other pursuits and stepped up recruiting inferior humans from the Outer Rim, the operational effectiveness of this army has declined significantly. The stormtroopers in my own battalion are expendable buffoons. They have neither common sense nor sense of their own surroundings. Just today, I witnessed a new recruit hit his head on a blast door during maneuvers. Blasted idiots! What a disgrace to the heritage and legacy of a once truly incredible fighting force. As one of the last clones in service today, few others can share in my disdain for these men. I'd sacrifice an entire platoon of new stormtrooper recruits for just one real clone trooper. If the clone template were still alive, I think he'd kill them all himself."
