The Kraken is a giant monster squid from Jules Verne’s iconic book, 20 thousand leagues under the sea. It also has its roots in fisherman’s tales from Norway and Greenland. The scary thing about the Kraken, if you can’t see it coming. It waits under your boat in the dark water. Legend has it that if you start catching too many fish, you should away row for your life, because the Kraken might be under your boat, scaring the fish so they swim up to the surface. As far as we know, the Kraken is just a legend. But let's imagine for a second…if it wasn’t

I'm from Norway, and i really do believe that Kraken is real. Giant squids already exist, so its definitely plausible. Not only that, but the stories you hear from old fishermen from Norway are seriously freaky af, they always send chills down my spine.

1. Yes. The VIVID human imagination, is the basis for many stories. 2. Actually...it's over 96% is undiscovered. Still no hard/scientific evidence for the existence of giant sea monsters. 3. Very confusing. A large version of an animal that's known to exist...is no basis for a mythical creature to exist. "There are large monitor lizards...so there has to be a fire-breathing dragon in them-there hills...." That makes no sense whatsoever.

TFG actually There was a Fire on the titanic,when they knew it the metal was weakened and while they were sailing there was a boat (i forgot what country) and the boat ignored the Signal,While they were sailing a missile from a submarine hit the Titanic and Titanic hit the Iceberg and it sunk down into the depths of sea where the kraken used to live (the last parts werent real ;-;)

Scary fact: It's possible for humans to make the Kraken because a normal octupos can grow and grow and grow and never end, but it's brain is formed like a donut and it's organs squeezes the brain apart so the body kills him self, but if we could deform the brain then it could get bigger than a blue whale, but not at the size of Godzilla because it won't find enough food to survive

Whenever i hear that we've only searched a GRAND TOTAL OF *5%* OF THE OCEAN it freaks me out so much. Like there are probably millions of crazy creatures and things in the ocean that we haven't discovered yet. And who knows maybe the kraken really is real. People have said that they've seen it before and we've only searched (once again) *5% OF THE OCEAN!* so it is possible.

The Kraken being real faces the same problem as the megalodon. A creature of that size needs enough sustenance to survive, and a boatload of people or a blue whale wouldn't suffice. There's no way of knowing how big the game is at the ocean floor, but it would've eradicated all the creature in that area with ease if there were enough. The blue whale is our largest animal for the fact that it's not as dependant on large game, thus it continues to live on past many of the other big fish that died long ago.

I'm gonna call bs while we haven't discovered all in the sea i doubt it be creatures like Kraken a creature of that size would have a hard time finding food to survive and a creature of that size would at least venture to our surface or at least more evidence. I believe if they did exist it would've been millions of years ago when creatures were bigger more food for them ect. As of humans i believe they just saw a huge squid or wanted to sound cool by making sea stories to make an otherwise boring job seem mysterious and scary.

The USS Stein is a US Destroyer that is infamous for being attacked by an unknown squid species. One time during the 70s when the ship was patrolling the Atlantic, and parts underneath the ship like sonar was getting jammed. Later when it went to the harbor for reapirs, there were massive ring marks under the ship larger than any known marks of squid species. Scientists belive that what ever made those marks is 150ft long, dwarfing the biggest known squid species.

Temiral- Kiss your ass good bye normally used to kept Ketar class in check but is not recommended can not be contained (very rare class and very few scp are this class) Decommissioned- SCPS that have been Destroyed (normally by the community as they where either deemed to useless or either to outdated) Most SPCs are Euclide class i hope this helps Kevin

Alot of people do not believe in the kraken but i do and there are giant squids that can grow to be really big. We have not even explores the entirety of the depth of our ocean and i do believe that the kraken exists

Pauline Nguyen 300 ft is not that beyond the realm of possibility. 300 ft = 92 m. But i think a smaller squid, but bigger than than the giant squid which maybe grows to 100 - 165 ft (30,5 - 50 m) is pretty likely not yet discovered.
