Giovanni being a good guy would make sense, since in pokemon origins he talks about red taking the right path he didn't take.

I would totally give Surge a Jolteon instead of a second Electrode! It would also fit the theme of a military officer with their dog.

I could totally see Koga being a red herring for Team Rocket's leader. Like, all the rockets use Pokemon on his Gym team, the ninja of old Japan were historically thieves and assassins, and his personality could be seen as more stern and cold than the rest of the gym leaders. You could even get a tip from a police officer somewhere that the leader is suspected to be a member of the League. So really, who are people going to suspect of running the mob? Kind philanthropist socialite Giovanni, or mean and creepy venom-loving Koga? Basically, Giovanni would be a Gustavo Fring type, and Koga would be the perfect guy to blame for his cartel.

I like this reverse order of the Kanto Gym Leaders it fixes some of the issues that the Elite Four and Kanto Gym Leaders team has. Yes you should definitely do a rom hack with this reverse order of Kanto Gym Leaders.

Koga being the leader of Team Rocket isn't that bad of an idea. He was one of Giovanni's lieutenants in Pokemon Adventures along with Surge and Sabrina. PS: Professor Oak is a "Glitch Trainer" found with the Ditto Glitch so there is widespread belief he was intended to be the final battle at some point in development of the original games

If Brock were the final gym leader I am certain the stats of Onix would be adjusted to suit. Onix is only so weak to allow it to function as a first boss pokemon. If it were a 'final' boss pokemon then the attack stat would need to improve massively. Frankly the dragons might need a nerf if they’re going to be at the start instead of the end.

At least it is Gen3 mechanics and not Gen1, or Lance playing fairly could be a huge problem. Thunder Wave into Wrap is kind of maniacal for new trainers, let alone whatever TM trick or Egg Move his Pokemon could use as a Gym Leader.

Oh no what have you done? Whitney will have a team of 6 milktank when she is champion of johto or elite four. Jokes aside. Im excited to see more of these they seem very interesting to take late game teams and switch them with early game ones at max. Hoenn i can see Steven being steel version roxanne or usw anorith and lilleep for his gym wirh aaron as his boss. Roxanne meanwhile golem probopass fossils and other rock types

Maybe Bruno’s second Pokémon changes depending on versions. So Red he has Hitmonlee and Blue/Green he has Hitmonchamp. Koga as the rocket leader, hmm. That could be interesting if maybe Team Rocket was more of a ninja force/team. Now I want an alternate universe of Kanto where all this was true. 😂

I would make Dratini Lance’s ace and make his first Pokémon Ekans since it has a similar body shape to Dratini. Lance has used plenty of Non-Dragon Types that look like Dragons (Charizard for example.).

In the manga, Koga is like an exec of team rocket in kanto so it could make sense to swap giovanni and koga’s roles

The Professor lectures his grandson as to why he didn't succeed and then turns his focus onto you challenging you to see if you have what it takes. After you defeat the Professor and are registered in the Hall of Fame, credits roll ans you had to Cerullean Cave, right before you enter the cave, your rival will appear and challenge you for the title and tp prove that he is the very best and has the right to the mysterious Pokémon (Mewtwo) inside.

I like a lot of these. You should have given surge electivire and magnezone. Erika should have tangrowth. Misty should have politoed. But what other battles are there (rocket rival etc)

Personally I think it would be better if Lance and Agatha had different pokemon as their starters, so Lances team would be charmander and dratini and Agatha’s team would be zubat/ekans into haunter

If you must know, in Pokemon Red and Blue, there was a rumor that Professor Oak was meant to be battled but never happened. In that rumor, his team is higher than Blue and picks a starter that wasn't picked by the Red, meaning he was meant to be a champion. This can be seen when we battled him in Pokemon Fire Red: Rocket Edition where he plans to punished the pink-haired rocket boss for foiling his plans and defeating Red.

I would have taken zapdos, moltres, articuno and mewto as ace pokemon for the elite 4

Lance is a flying type specialist. Agatha is a poison type specialist if we are being honest

The Dragonair for Lance to me would make sense since I know in Yellow, you can fish for a Level 10 Dragonair if I remember. EDIT: I checked serebii, and seems in yellow it’s a level 15 Dragonair

Oak should have a Nidoking and either Arcanine, Exeggutor, or Gyarados in place of two of the starters, depending on the player's starter.

Shell Smash? Lorelei is cheating! Shell Smash was introduced in gen 5 while this video said it was Leaf Green being changed. Leaf Green is gen 3. Also, Blaine went from 7th to 6th and his unevolved Pokémon got swapped out to fully evolved ones? Strange times in gen 3 Kanto.

Bro just Start with Charmander for the first gym 2 gym get a oddish and abra, abra will tack down any fighting or poison Pokémon and oddish will carry for the rock,ground and water types. For water get a lapris then snorlax they are easy to get and hit hard then a jolteon to rap up any lose ends best team for this run. If you have a better one let me know and say for which version mine is for RGBY Gen 1

Erika being an E4 member should def have a Venusaur over a stupid parasect. And don't give me none of that well giving her a starter Pokemon seems unfair or none of that nonsense when lance, flint, blue, kukui, and Leon are all an E4 or champion who have used a starter pokemon Lt.surge should have had a Jolteon Misty.... There is so many just outright better choices for misty to have had over Golduck and seaking. Especially being the 3rd e4 member. Should pokemon that come to mind that are also water types are Vaporeon for a defensive wall. Lapras for a special defensive wall, kabutops for a fast physical attacker and type diversity. Tentacruel for some type diversity and to poison your team while you fight through her defensive mon. Blastoise if u wanted to even. Brock..... A now champion.... And ya gave him a fuckin Onix/steelix for the champion ace..... Starting to smell like Pokemon X&Y all over again
