I couldn't tell if you were gonna choose Palmer, Riley or Buck for champion. All of them would have been good but Palmer is definitely the best choice thanks to the Barry connection

I think Volkners position swap kinda makes him like Kabu from Galar Being so strong that just beating him is almost as impressive as getting all 8 badges

I feel like him being mid way through the game he’s less likely to feel as he does when he’s 8th. As the final gym leader you don’t have to hold back as much so it can’t get boring if no one can keep up but as the 5th you have plenty of room to teach so he would be more active in ever match.

Tbh I’d say Magmortar -> Magmar, YES roserade is fully evolved too, but It’s really not that good, with very bad level up moves, Magmortar very much IS, I still see how you need a strong ace so Magmar would definitely work Edit: also Magmortar wouldn’t be accessible at this point of the game fkers

Wdym by not that good roserade was literally OU on its introduction And If we consider magmortar As a replacement for an ace of t&e 2 gym leader It doesn't learn anything amazing at lvl 22 either

@@laxusstrauss5945 The problem is that not only would that Magmotar be illegal (Magby doesn't evolve into Magmar until level 30), Roserade had a BST of 515 in gen 4, while Magmortar has a BST of 540... so Magmortar would be pretty much unbeatable at this point in the game... especially if you take into account the earlier routes in the game as well and you barely have any Magmortar counters if you didn't choose Piplup.

Roserade was Ou in Gen 4, meanwhile Magmortar is Nu in Gen 4. Also, Magmortar is slower than the Bouquet Pokémon.

Would’ve been great to have given Gardenia a Pokémon with drought to start off and replicate a bit of the “questionable” (they made sense in a technical term) choices from the last game but overall great choices dude

Magmortar is impossible to obtain at a lower level of the game since Magby evolves into Marmar at lvl 30... so you mean we'll have to face a second gym below 20's lvl then face a lvl 30 Magmortar? Not because Gardenia gets a fully evolve pokemon also means that Flint should get one too... especially one that evolves mid to late game... you can get a Roserade as low as lvl 2 because Budew evolves via high friendship and level up once then Roselia to Roserade using a shiny stone...

You are aware that Roserade's BST was 505 in Gen IV (and 515 starting Gen VI), while Magmortar's is 540. I could agree with giving him a Magmar (BST 495), which is much fairer and closer to Roserade's.

It feels like Volkner would be more a challenge than Candice, seeing as his team has all fully evolved Pokemon. Id probably evolve her Sneasel into a Weavile and give her a Mamoswine or Glaceon to help her team not get swept so easily

Wait. If Palmer is the new Sinnoh champion does that means Riley is replacing him at the battle Frontier or does he goes back to it after we beat him? And boi is his team a menace, damn! Also, i personally think you missed the opportunity to give Gardenia and Candice Leafeon and Glaceon respectively, but this doesn't makes then less of a powerful do neither so who cares? (Me, i care. Also i don't recall Victreebel been on Sinnoh, i might be wrong but i'm pretty sure it ins't and it's kinda pointless when you have Tangrowth which is way more fitting and is more of a threat. Just saying.)

@@Xatumi Why? Like, it's literally the point of playing Sinnoh games is seen fitting new challenges, characters and pokemon. Bro, and it would make Gardenia's "new team" at least tough. Also, i forgot to mention that Lucian could at least have a Abra cuz in the Sinnoh games the first gymleader aways has three pokemon and Abra's lack of moves could help out balacing Bronzor's early bulkness and giving just a bit of extra challenge since his only damage move will be the gym's TM. But anyways, don't let people rule you that much. KZfaq channels are made for fun, and even if the current subs don't enjoy your content, others will. Keep with the good job bro!😉👍

My head canon is that Palmer was the Sinnoh Champion before Cynthia, so this alternate scenario works for me.

Superb, was looking forward to the Sinnoh roster and this proved a fun one. Nice choices on how the leaders would adjust their teams :) Interested in how Unova and Kalos will be approached, since their E4 can be fought in any order. Alternate takes, or a preference? Should be fun musing either way

It's interesting how Gardenia and Flint parallel each other in a way...they both specialize in types that benefit from the sun, use starter pokemon, and their aces are new Gen 4 final evolutions of pokemon from past generations. That and they both literally swap roles in your video...Flint is now the second gym leader in place of Gardenia, while Gardenia is now the third E4 member in Flint's place. Flint now uses three pokemon like Gardenia did as a gym leader, while Gardenia now uses five like Flint did as an E4 member. Side note: I feel like everyone should be using pokemon that are WITHIN the regional Sinnoh dex, with Palmer being the striking exception. But that's just me. Heck to further parallel Gardenia and Flint further for the fun of it, I'd personally replace one of her non-Sinnoh dex pokemon with Leafeon...an eeveelution on the third E4 member's team like Flint did in his Platinum E4 team. That and I'd replace the other non-Sinnoh dex pokemon with maybe Tangrowth, at least it's another pokemon in her team of five in the Sinnoh dex. XD

For the gym leaders and elite 4 of Unova can you allow them access to both the B2w2 and blueberry Pokédexes it would help suit them better and gives them variety

How about Tangrowth instead of Bellossom for Gardenia? It also has access to Chlorophyll but was introduced in Sinnoh. Also, Tangrowth base stats are much better haha

Shouldn't Lucian have a team of 3 Pokemon for this concept like Roark does originally? I'd probably go with Mime Jr to have a mono Psychic type (in that gen) on the team that fits his strategy and isn't too overwhelmingly powerful like Abra with a Gym leader moverset might be (or too weak if not given the right moves, so might be good for one of the Gym Trainers to use). And it's another Gen 4 mon to better make up for his Gen 2 ace.

It is heavily implied there is a connection between Agatha and Bertha. They have similar Japanese names. They have similar appearances to each other and Charm (from PLA). Speaking of Charm, she uses Rhydon and Gengar which are from the same families as the aces of Bertha and Agatha.

I'm confused as for Gardenias team 🤔 I don't know if it applies to the other gym leaders but her having a Bellossom and Victreebel rubs me the wrong way...are they on the Plat dex?
