Ugh, my battery went down when I was writing a comment 😢😢😢 So again: it is only series stuff, though, we need to underline it (nothing like that happened in the books). Aleksander knew he would die since a moment when David disappeared with Ilya's diary. But his only concern was that he wouldn't be able to protect Alina from what he had suffered too (merzost would kill him anyway, so he didn't have a lot to lose). This is how his death scene may be explained (if you analyse all Ben's interviews, you are 100% sure it is correct). Him killing Mal was not only to stop Alina from destroying the Fold, but mostly to get more time. His actions were villainous, but his main concern was what would happen with Alina. He was too poisoned. That's why in the cut scene - I hope they will finally release it!!! - he gave her all his powers, so she could protect herself (it was confirmed by Ben himself that such scene was cut and also by one of SaB producers). It was toxic, that he gave her his powers (it explains the very last scene with Alina using shadow cut), but in Aleksander's eyes he thought he protected her.

When you watch his death scene, something seems "off", and that's because they cut the scene explaining e.g. Alina's face expression... 😢 I need them to release it, I actually would love to see how their conversation was looking then.

@@MrsEileen25 This is actually so tragic💔 this sounds like a really cool addition. Honestly even if I don't support Darklina, show Darklina is wayyyy better than book Darklina. I swear I wanna cry every time I hear about something to do with Aleksander. He suffered so much, his life was a mess, he was a mess. Him thinking about someone other than himself - Alina - when he was dying is so heartbreaking. Even in the books when she lost her powers and he realised that he was truly alone hurt so much😢

About Mal I am "calm", because Archie said on comic con that "Mal may love other woman" and he "will enjoy his new life on the boat." So, yeah. About what you wrote about Darklina: TV show Darklina is personally my fav (even you said it is "better"): as adult myself I "grew up" to understand this ship better than when I was "idealistic teenager"😅(when I was younger I liked book Darklina for other things, which weren't that logic 😂) But now, well, I have gathered personal experiences that taught me to like other aspects 😊 I guess, you never know what to expect when some things "happen to you" (long story short, I have had an "interesting" life 😅) But like I said, we all should respect other opinions and it makes people mature and decent during discussion 😊❤ And, btw, you and me always agree about Nikolai and Aleksander that they are just the best 😊❤
